Kept lost weight off (35#'s) for over a year...finally started induction, but nothing happened? I was trying to remember what I did before that was different and I remembered I stopped all med's; glyburide/avandia/mavik (h.b.p.) Will taking any or all of these med's stop my weight loss? I kept this weight off for over one year and need to get rid of it again...Is it harder to get my body to respond to the induction? Even though the time period has been so long? Any help needed? Also, any medical Dr.'s I can see who support Atkins in Oregon? Thanx so much!!!

Re: Need help! What's the problem? Med's, ????
Weellllllll.........
First of all, read the sticky on this forum called "Slow Scales the Second Time Around".
Second of all, I can tell you that my experience this second time around is that I hardly lost anything in the beginning. And it's been S-L-O-W. In 10 weeks, lost 18 lbs. LOTS of "pauses" followed by a drop of 1 or 2 lbs......
It may be your meds, but probably is all about this being the second time around. You need to be patient with your body and not weigh constantly, just focus on eating right, keeping on the woe, and it WILL come off!
I know it is frustrating not to have the big jump start on induction you had the last time. But several of us have been through this and it is by staying consistent that we are achieving success.Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
218/187/140
Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Minimum 45 min cardio per day
