  • Saturday check-in

    Good morning!

I was going to sleep late until some furry things decided to play war. Apparently the battleground was.....ME. So now I'm covered with puncture marks and kind of spazzed out!

Having my first cup of coffee and sitting here reading all of the posts. I'm still retaining water and my God, I don't think I can drink more than I did yesterday, but I'll keep sucking down the h2O and hope that at some point here it'll all drain out. It's TOM, and usually by the third day I've lost all of the water build-up, but as I said yesterday, this cycle appears to be going BACKWARDS! lol. Bodies are so goofy.

Oh.......now that I'm up, the furry things have all suddenly become completely exhausted and are all curled up together on the bed, fast asleep. NICE. <grrrrrrrr!!!!>

Have I mentioned to y'all lately that I love you? I really do! This place has become my touchstone, but it would be NOTHING if you guys weren't all here, with all of your wonderful qualitiese and your warts <g>. Makes me feel at HOME. No need for me to hide my own warts, and lots of encouragement for me to celebrate my successes.

Also, none of you make messes in my living room, leave dirty dishes on the counter, or keep asking me for a ride. Quite considerate of y'all.

Today is a day of work, work, work for me. But the kind of work I don't really mind. The cleaning and organizing kind. If you saw my house, you would call CPS and demand that they remove all children from the premises. Even though the mess was CAUSED by children......And it all happened in FOUR DAYS! Hurricane Katrina has a competitor..........

Anyway, for me, straightening up and cleaning and organizing is a way for me to get my thoughts organized, and it makes me feel good. The only problem is that I can't be exhausted from a full day's work when I do it, because after a full day's work, I HAVE NO MIND OR THOUGHTS! Which is why I'm glad I got a fairly decent night's sleep......

Anyway, that's my Saturday check-in. Have a great day!

    Moning all,
Finelly, are you sure you aren't talking about MY house??? I have so much kid mess to clean up today it's not even funny. Overcast & cool here today, my daughter & I are going to the park later, gonna get some walking in while she plays
Woke up around 5:30 this morning all conjested, but feeling better now. Time for breakfast, I'm debating wheter to have flax/jicama cereal or some eggs, thinkn I'll stick with the flax, easier to prepare.
I STILL haven't found my scale, or my tape measure. Think I will pick up a tape measure today, I really want to get a new scale to see where I'm currently at; but last time I was such a slave to the scale it may be a good idea just to wait until I find my old one. Wherever I hid it, it's a great hiding spot!

      Good morning, you lovelies {{{Finelly and Jenny}}}

I have my post-it-notes at the ready and I'm going to take action! I'm excited about having walked the last 2 days for an hour. The second day is always harder than the first, but I made it, and I'm so glad! Now I'm stalled because I'm building muscle! Luckily, it's only temporary, but with only about 12 weeks to go in my Mid-Year's Resolution Challenge, I'd better get bookin'!

I hope everyone is having a ginormously awesome morning!

        Re: Saturday check-in

Finelly, sorry you didn't get to sleep in. I did, but then I am fighting a bad cold/allergies and took a swig of Nyquil last night so I was zonked. My sweetie left the cats in the living room until I started to stir so they wouldn't bother me. Then brought me coffee to my bedside. I feel better this morning - the congestion has moved out of my head so it doesn't feel like I have a tight band around my head, but it's in my chest so I am coughing now. I sound worse, but feel better.

I am winding down on my induction phase - down 7 so far, but like others here, I have lost more inches than pounds. I am a scaleaholic and my scale weighs in 0.2 pound increments. I have been at this game long enough that it doesn't discourage me - I know a "gain" is rarely a storage of fat if you have stuck to the program. For the last 4 days the scale hasn't budged but I felt thinner, so I took out a tape measure and discovered I had lost nearly an inch in my waist. I didn't measure when I started, so I am going to wait until it has been 2 weeks to take full measurements (9/19) and report in on the tape measure challenge.

Happy Saturday! Man, I love weekends. So dreading going back to work on Monday. But, grocery shopping list is ready and I'm preparing. Took a walk today with my little guy. Other than that, its a gorgeous day here in Michigan.

We stayed in bed all day and watched the entire first season of LOST, now I'm hooked! Was a dreary rainy depressing day all day. Blah! I HATE fall!

Hooked me right in the first time I watched last year. Never miss it and cannot wait for this next season to start.
