    Good Morning!

    Who is around?

    What are your plans?

Fun in the sun or catching up around the house hold chores?

What ever they are, how are you handling your Atkins today?

Anything helpful to share with some of us who have been struggling recently?

Im up, have a quiche in the oven, put veggies in bags for the week, popped some lemon slices in my water, got my second load of laundry in, catching up on committee work and heading for the track for a nice long walk later this morning.

Im planning on eating every time I turn around today and get my sugars back on track. Little meals and lots of water. Flush all that crap outta my system. Thank you to Finelly for her questionaire post that put my head on straight again!

I have also pulled out my winter clothes for work and by the time I put the pants on (still short weather in the kitchen) I want them to be comfortable. Then I want them to be very loose like they once were.

I also add a quite moment for those affected on this date 4 years ago. Makes my recent struggles seem pretty insignifacant. Sure has a way of putting things into prospective......

    Wahhhhh winter clothes! (sniff)
Its another cold ugly day today, leaves all over my formerly pretty green lawn. I am going for a walk right now, there MUST be some pretty visuals at the river bank to cheer me up! Good day all!

      Good morning!

      Terry - go eat something.

It's only 7:15 here, and I don't know what the day will look like here in San Diego. It's been "chillier" this weekend, which means in the 70's instead of 80's....lol.

Today is a day of fun and rest for me. My dh has the entire day off, and whatever he wants, we shall do. No doubt this will entail a lot of just relaxing, but perhaps a movie or something, too. The only "work" will be prepping meals for the coming week, which I enjoy.

I'm still retaining water. 100 oz for 3 days in a row, and my fingers are still like sausages and we will not discuss the condition of my feet! Ah, well. It'll "pass" sooner or later!

As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

        Hi there

My DH is away on business at the moment but I had lots of company this weekend. My sister came round on Friday night and one of my good friends came round last night. We had an Indian meal (I stuck to the program) and this morning, I took my baby girl swimming again. It was lovely. I feel self conscious in my swimsuit but realise that it won't be for long if I stick to Atkins.

Just had a lovely hot bath with gorgeous smelling oil in (whilst bubba had her afternoon nap) and am now about to start her evening routine.

Luckily, I worked solidly on the housework yesterday morning so I can relax tonight.

          Good morning you lovelies!!!

Well, I want to say that yesterday I really struggled. REALLY. It was, literally, me, white-knuckling it, wanting to order pizza while hubby was away. It was a moment-by-moment suffering that I had to fight like heck to not give into. ADBB kept me on the straight and narrow yesterday when I might not have been strong enough to do it on my own.

I went to bed last night crabby, irritable, feeling grumbly.

This morning I woke up a pound down.

It's at these times-- when things seem their darkest-- if we hang on, good things will happen.

I just got back from the store, veggies & meat were on sale so I stocked up. Gonna make a chef salad soon for lunch & steak & broccoli for dinner, yum!

High Five, Cleo!!! Glad you got a reward this morning.

I had some jalapeno & cheese stuffed sausage for breakfast.. .yum. No fall weather here in the sticky south yet - it's a long time coming down here.

This is my last day of induction - unless the scale budges overnight I will have lost 7 for the 2 weeks. I used to could lose at least 10, but I'm not a spring chicken anymore and since menopause set in, my metabolism is even slower. I will be headed to the gym sometime today.

Question for the long timers....... Anybody ever go to a pizza buffet like Cici's and eat a salad and just scrape the tops off the pizza? I know there are some carbs in the sauce, but Cici doesn't use a lot of sauce, and the rest of the toppings are usually 'legal'. My son and I used to do this when we were on Atkins before but I can't remember if it stalled us out or not.

                  Re: Sunday Check In

Well the rain felt good lightly drizzling on my face as I went for a riverbank walk this morning. Weighed in and was disapointed at the result, no loss (sigh) but, I was bad so what did I expect? Water weight comes off...just sets ya back awhile. Next time I will be stronger, New Mantra...I will come here before I pop something bad into my mouth.

Looks like hub and I are going to curl up with the third season of 24. Nothing else to do when its raining. No wedding this weekend (good thing) cause its was crappy weather, did a few club gigs during the week for back to school...loved it...love the energy, get to brush up on my new tunes.

I have learned alot this week from the self sabotage threads and others of the like. I felt they were directed at me, because I'm usually one of the strong ones who doesn't fall off the wagon, and lately I've had to admit I was human after all and suck it up to admit it to you all. Hard to do but what else is there for me to do? Pretend I didn't cheat and have no one kick my butt when its so obviously needed? Disapear from the forum when I screwed up rather than face the music? Wouldn't be helping myself much there now would I? But I see others dropping off the forum when they slip and fall when they should be coming back here for motivation and encouragement. Cause they are too embarrased to admit they fell. Well I am admitting it, and am right back on there, still walking and drinking my water, still losing inches, still gonna make it!

Just gonna take me a wee bit longer than I thought!

So if any of you are out there lurking and cheating, put down the evil carb, post and admit your weakness, and let all of us boost you back up onto that weightloss path! No need to be embarrassed. We just pray that you don't have any cat allergies.

                  End/Rambling

                    Re: Sunday Check In

I've blown it big style. Bad news.
Went to my step-grandson's naming ceremony. Had WOE eats before I went. Ex-husbands missus was there. So had
                    3xpints of lager
                    1/4 egg sandwich
                    ditto beef sandwich
                    ditto tuna sandwich
                    ditto cheese sandwich
Now I want to die I feel so bad.
Why? I had no bother at all in the first three months of this WOE? When I fell off the wagon why is it so hard to stick to this time around?
Went for a three mile run tonight to burn it off which has just about killed my back and wrecked my ankle.
To top it off when I got back the family were watching the holiday video and I just look like a great big fat cow.
                    I'm a fool to myself
                    Sigh

                      Re: Sunday Check In

Hi everyone...seems like you all are having good days.

Mine started out fine...nice and cool this morning on the way to the gym...warmed up quite a bit in the afternoon and we'll be having warm/humid again starting tomorrow. Anyway...had a great workout...even upped my cardio to 45 minutes. Lifting went well...at the end of all this i go weigh myself. Depressing moment...back up to where I started about 4-5 weeks ago.

I felt horrible...I've been good...no cheating. I know it takes longer but to gain back the 2 I lost...*sigh*...some of this weight is medical...fluid retention/swelling ...the Drs are still working on the cause..in fact I go This Thursday for test resultsetc., but I can't believe I'm at square one

So...what did I do??? Had to go to the supermarket for cat food, and I did a oh, what the ****...I stopped fighting the craving and bourght muffins...chocolate chip to be exact. I ate the tops off of them, then through the rest in the garbage. So stupid...and my punishment is that I'm sick as a dog at this moment and of course bloated.

So...I'm posting to admit I was bad and i'm pledging it won't happen again. In fact I'll be cutting back on the amount of cheese and splenda and see if that helps me out a bit.

Cleo...I did get the Chromium Picolinate...I'm sure it takes awhile to get into one's system so I'll let you know how it's working

                      Have a great evening all!

We need to admit our defeats small or large, share them with those who understand and vow to be stronger next time. Hugs to you both for admitting it, kicks in the butt to get back on track, drink drink drink your water! Work out, sweat and make yourself feel the burn. You will feel better and stronger almost immediatly. I know I do!

Fixed dinner for the family: Curry Rice (none for me, naturally), Baked Chicken, and Cabbage. Now I'm off to work in a minute. Peace yall and I truly care about my ADBB fam!!!
