  • Celebrities Need Guidance too!

Just thought I would share this with you. Most of you know by now that I am in the music and entertainment industry. I am also in the recording industry but thats a story for a whole other time. (grin)

Recently I was having a sit down with a certain popular unnamed country entertainer and we started talking about weight gain, calories, weight loss etc. The conversation progressed to the different eating plans and I mentioned that I have been doing Atkins for years and that since I have started walking, how the weight loss has been a bit more noticable. Through chatting and sharing I mentioned the ADBB and was surprised to learn that not only did she know about it, but she is also a member here (and on STAC). Naturally under an assumed nickname lol. Thought that this is a very small world at that point. You just never know who your posting buddies are! And whaddya know? She adores Cleo and thinks she's the cats pj's too!

        Re: Celebrities Need Guidance too!

Firstly, thank you for the compliment. I am very humbled. *slips you a $20*

It's one of those things that, to me, seems a little bit unfair.

We look at celebrities and we hold them on this uber-high pedestal of doomapaloosa.

If they don't fall, we criticize them due to our own jealousy and insecurities.

If they do fall, we criticize them for their humanity.

It really helps for people to understand that we're all people here, all with our own emotional issues and moments of weakness. And none of us are above molesting Little Debbie on occasion.. or else we wouldn't be here where we are today!

I mean, if I was totally a loser, I'd probably sniff the local Hostess truck just to see if it even smelled like a cupcake!

It didn't. But that's beside the point.

The point is, I really appreciate you taking the time to remind us that we never really know who's on these boards, Starmaker!

It also goes to show that we are all very human, deserving of love, respect, support, and an occasional noogie.

            Cleo always has the right response. {{{Cleo}}}

To answer those questions. she is American but big everywhere and yes very famous. And I know she's chuckling as she reads these posts. We were talking about other celeb personalities who have done Atkins successfully, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox, they still claim they got their Atkins motivational support from online forums just like this. But being as high profile as these peeps are, naturally they try to keep their true identity to themselves. I know personally of at least one other high profile celeb who used to frequent ADBB, haven't seen him around lately though, but then he's now skinny and prob motivating himself with that thought alone lol. They (like us) are here for the same reasons, and require the same support.

Everyone, remember this, and take note, especially the next time I make you do homework or wrestle the donut out of your hand!

Starmaker-- well, I'm honestly going to say that it is VERY exciting to have someone on board who's well-known for her talents! I fully understand and respect her privacy, and promise I will not privately question each STAC member individually to make them spill the beans so that I may have an autograph.

Because I'm SO not that way.

That is really cool, but then so are we .

It's a shame this person can't reveal their true identity, but I totally understand. He/She is here for help and doesn't need a crackpot or two annoying them or derailing their efforts.

Yes we are all cool and that my friends is why she is here and why we are all here! And honestly? its refreshing to have a conversation with a celeb that is as normal as one you would have with your best girlfriend, for example, part of our converstaion went like this:

Me: everyone is giving me a hard time cause no matter what weight I am, I tend to want to cover up my a$$ all the time.

Famous atkins chickie: yeah I know what you mean

Me: how would you know, your a$$ is great? (ahem not that i've noticed or anything)

Famous Atkins Chickie: Stage wear isn't what I WANT to wear. When I'm home, I'm all about covering up my a$$.

                  lol

We all have our insecurities and issues. Now back to this a$$ issue, is anyone else like this? I literally have to be dragged out of long jackets and sweaters. I just am so used to covering my fat butt that I can't see the thinner butt (fat goggles) I keep telling myself, ok as soon as Onederland hits, my tummy should be completely gone by then as its almost gone now, and THEN I will wear butt showy pants or something, but will I? Dang!

Oh yes...tried covering up the caboose as much as I could then I realized that the shirts I wore to cover it made me look bigger all over! Now I just let it be seen and as long as I don't have a wedgie going on I don't really think about it anymore! Lol!

A celebrity huh? That's cool. As long as they're nice...because that's what matters...but it sounds like they're super nice so that's cool...because that's what I expect from everyone. Now I've got "People are people" by Depeche Mode in my head. Earworm!!! aaaaarrrrggggg...Lol!

What's with you and your earworms anyway? It reminds me of an episode of star trek.

I dunno. I usually have a song in my head. Right now it's "We are the Champions" by Queen because of another post I just made. I wouldn't mind a tapeworm actually...but the thought of it...ewwwwwww

Well, one way to find out who it is is to start sending the Hunting Stalking Fierce Wild Attack Siamese out to catch her. And trap her. And demand to be petted...........

Or we could just leave her alone and act like she's just one of us.....except that WE don't have to worry about people asking us for our autographs when we run to the grocery store for more flax seed meal or broccolli.............

OMG......it's probably Bill. He's pretending to be a guy and he's been refusing to wear the pink tutu because if he put it on, we'd recognize that he's a female singing sensation immediately........
