  • Need suggestions....

    On Mondays and Weds. I do pilates at 7PM for an hour and get home at 8:30, which is too late to eat.

    I get home from work at 5.

    If I eat a whole meal between 5 & 6:30, I get too full & gassy during the class, which isn't fun when trying to do situps!!!!!! " 'scuse me!"

    I asked my instructor what SHE eats before class. YOGURT. That is no help, obviously.

    Has anyone dealt with this issue, or do you have any suggestions? I usually eat breakfast the next day around 7AM.

    I'd recommend eating several, small, high-fat snacks before going to class. Like boiled egg! a couple slices of bacon... a piece of cheese (instead of cutting it--ar ar)

      why is it too late to eat after your class? On Atkins if you are hungry you eat no matter what time it is.

      You could switch to several smaller meals on those days as Cleo said.

      What phase are you in? if you are in OWL you could be eating yogurt on rung 2.

        I'd eat two small meals. One at 5 and one when you get back from class. Something easy - hard boiled eggs and cheese, or leftovers from something. I agree with 2big, no reason you can't eat after class. If you split the dinner into two meals then you won't feel gross in class OR in bed.

          Thanks for Great Ideas all around. I am doing extended induction.

          Things are getting even more complicated as I am starting rehearsals for Godspell on Sunday, and I have to stay in a committed, intentional WOE.

          I always thought that I heard you shouldn't eat after 7PM....

            I think if you're eating mountains of carbs then yeah, eating late isn't such a good plan because they just sit there in your body turning into fat.

            but since we don't have that problem, I think it's okay. We burn it all off so fast that it doesn't matter.
