It's water retention more than likely.

      So here's the deal.

      Why did you eat it?

What was this a reaction to?

Is this a pattern you have noticed?

What will you do next time to not fall into this trap?

I know you can do this!

            Starmaker is spot on there.
You'll see I blew it on Sunday too.
Why is it that at the actual moment it feels great and then as soon as we swallow we think "I wish I hadn't done that"? But before we do it's like being possessed by demons yelling "eat eat eat"

yep, hop back on the wagon and grab a seat! I'm one day cheat free myself, but yelling at yourself won't help anything, if anything it'll likely make you cheat again! So, just tell yourself well, i fell off, but I'm back and just do it! No guilt, no blame, no anger, just determination. That's the one that's your friend!

I'm also getting back on track after this weekends cheats. I'm sure as Cleo said the 4lbs are water weight gain. I'm counting on my 3 lb gain as one.

                  Re: so I cheated...

The gain is definitely temporary, so long as you don't make it a regular event.

Let me tell you guys, last year I only lost 7 pounds in 3 months because I cheated once a month. That's all it takes. And one month I cheated and it took me a fulkl month to re-lose the weight.

So watch that slippery slope! Don't end up doing what I did!

                      Re: so I cheated...

At least you are back on the wagon. From previous experience, I have had a cheat and then thought 'what the ****' and continued it for the entire weekend. My philosophy being well, I've cheated now so I may as well start again on Monday kind of thing.

You ate the pizza - so what - it's a blip. You'll lose that 4 pounds in no time I'm sure.

                          Re: so I cheated...

Its a fact, listen up to Cleo, its the same torture I endure. I am lucky to be losing 10 pounds a month (average) right now. Its slow to me, but at least its going down. But every time I cheat (previously one day a month) I sabotaged my weight loss and the scale went up 3 to 7 pounds. Took a week or more to get back to where I was. (bummed) I am very sure that if I could make it through each month without losing my resolve that one day, I would likely lose 13 to 15 lbs a month. I know some of you are saying that you don't care how slow that you lose the weight, the fact that you are losing even a little may make you happy, and of course it should, YEY YOU! but like Cleo said, its a VERY slippery slope, and the hardest thing about cheating is getting back on. THAT is where we see the majority of the people failing. You do it one day, then you have leftovers so you do it another day, then before you know it...its a cheat week. We are without a doubt the most understanding and supportive group I've ever encountered. But make no mistake about it, we are not about justifying cheating, we are about helping you and ourselves succeed at this WOE. We are no angels ourselves either, but we all want the same thing...right? So lets drop the cheating and get on track here peeps! I'm headin to Onederland...who's comin?

                          Group Cheer!!!!!

                            Re: so I cheated...

I totally agree with Cleo and Starmaker that it is far better not to cheat (I haven't done this time round). But, if you have already cheated and posted after the event then I think it's best to put it behind you and move on! And not do it again

                            All the best x
