Day 6 - I CANT DO IT ANYMORE!!!! HELP

  • Day 6 - I CANT DO IT ANYMORE!!!! HELP

    I'm surprised I made it this far, but the peanut butter cookies are calling me. I know I'm not eating as well as I should, but eggs and meat only go so far for breakfast...my usual breakfast is cheese omelette, bacon or sausage. Lunch varies..can be either a salad or boneless spareribs (no sauce) with broccoli. As a single mom of two I tend to skip dinner. When I get a craving I usually have a Flavor-Ice Lite Ice Pop which is sweetened with splenda and only 5 calories and I think 0 carbs (cant remember).

    Here's the problem...I have the munchies..Is there anything I can purchase snack wise that I can eat til my 14 days are up? I need chips, cookies, something....

    You need to be eating every 3 to 4 hours. When we get hungry is when we tend to loose control. You should try to avoid all sweets the first 2 weeks to break the sugar cycle.
    For snacks you can eat peperoni, Hard boiled eggs, vegis and dip, pork rinds are good to replace chips.

      You should try eating more.

      I never ate breakfast before Atkins but now I have to or I get too hungry before lunch.

        Go sniff the cookies.

        Really take deep deep cleansing breaths of cookieness. This will satisfy any cravings you have.

        It saves me everytime!

          You're definitely not eating enough. Skipping dinner every day would make me go crazy too. You can't do that on this diet - your body needs a more constant source of food. You should be eating 1200 calories a day, minimum.

          Why don't you try making extra food and things like hard boiled eggs, cooked bacon, tuna fish, etc... so that you can just eat snack type dinners. A can of tunafish with an egg chopped up into it with mayo is a good snack!

            I'm going to try making the flax crackers. I am pretty sure they are Induction friendly and would have a nice crunch.

            Think of the things you love to eat and stock up that fridge. For snacks I have small cubes of cheese with olives/jalepenos, cooked chicken tikka pieces, hard boiled eggs, celery with cream cheese etc.

            Good luck - you can do it!

              try the clouds....add a little chocolate to it....just enough sweet for me....

                Maybe you could do the pork rinds with a small amount of sour cream dip? As for breakfast break the old rules of breakfast and eat non breakfast foods. This morning I had tuna for breakfast. In a couple of hours I will have some summer sausage (make sure it is the no carb kind) and cheddar cheese cubes. Then for lunch I will have a steak or chicken ceasar salad (we're going out). Mid afternoon I will have more protein and cheese of some sort. Then for dinner I'll make some type of meat (hamburger, chicken, steak, pork chops etc..) and a cup of veggies (cauliflower, brocolli, cabbage, greenbeans are my favorites). So I will have eaten small amounts 5 times by the end of the day.

                  You have already received great advice! I will add that pre-planning helps tremendously! I have been making the breakfast muffin recipe that Star posted on Sundays for the week. Then, I can grab two of these muffins for breakfast on the go in the morning. I'm not a big fan of breakfast foods, but I do enjoy these. And as mentioned above, don't limit yourself to "breakfast" foods. Have a taco salad for breakfast if you want to. And, the pork rinds are a great crunchy idea. I love mine with salsa. I believe its Star that makes hers into a breakfast cereal with some cinnamon, splenda?, and cream. Lots of ideas.

                  When you are hungry and have things on hand, you are less likely to cheat. When you start to have cravings, eat a high fat snack. Try pepperoni chips. I believe you just put them in the microwave or oven for a short time and they get crispy like chips, you can also do this with cheese.

                  You can do this!!!!
