Thank you for the nice welcome!!! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better....
A bit about myself...I am 32 yrs old with my DH, 35 in the National Guard. We have two children- DD, 13 (yikes!) and DS, 8. DH left 40 days ago for his deployment...sigh. It has been a hard transition for everyone.
I have my ups and downs but I am looking forward to losing weight as a big distraction/goal for me!
Welcome, Harligirl! Thank you for your (and dh's) service. Where in the US are you? Do you have a good support system now that dh is gone? How are the kids? What level of Atkins are you on? tell us all the gory details.
Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
218/187/140
Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!
Hmmm.....gory details. We live in MA- our support system is trying to get together. I have a great support board on Ivillage I always go to. For some reason, I just can't get motivated to drive over an hour away for a support meeting. Maybe as time moves on.
Kids are okay- they seem to be handling it fairly well. I miss the little things- the time we would spend together in the mornings before he went to work (our time- kids at school), the company through all my daughters soccer stuff, seeing him play baseball with my son...Just the hugs and kisses. Such little things that we tend to take for granted! I will say- we will never, ever take our love for granted- ever! So- please go hug your husband or S/O for me!!!
It is so lonely at night. I miss him terribly. Sigh....We do get to talk almost everyday right now though. Once he leaves country, it will be even harder.
I just started back on Atkins- induction- day 3. So far so good- even though there is a peanut butter cake in the oven. Have a family get together tomorrow. I have been feeling very weak though. Hoping my energy comes back soon! I know it works. I just hope it works for me second time around!!
Thanks for listening and I appreciate the welcome (think I said that already!)
