  • YAY I did it!!

Thanks for your support yesterday guys. I survived the family meal! It was a bit odd as my MIL especially made my tomato soup without cream??!! She did Atkins herself for six months so not sure why she did that...

I skipped the next course (small fish dish) as it was prepared with sugar.

I had the stew and brocolli for main (skipped potatoes, pumpkin etc.)

Then finished with a couple of slices of cheese.

I checked this morning and my ketostix were purple - yippeeee!

I was worried at first as I was handed a special cocktail when we got there and had to refuse (politely) to drink it as I could see it had sugar in it! Still, I don't think they thought I was too much of a pain and we all had a nice time.

    Hope you are all well

      Hey Hunny Bunny

You ALWAYS do really well on Atkins and you GET the RESULTS !

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU !

You carry on the way you're going hun and you will soon get to where you want to be!

I'm still hanging on in there, not derailed at all, but i'm NOT weighing or measuring myself as I find if I don't get the results I want I then get disheartened and that's when I cheat. I'm also trying to not think of Atkins as something "not normal to me" and just eat my proteins and fat as if it is something I have ALWAYS done..............I'm just trying to keep everything normal.

I will weigh and measure myself when my clothes begin to "drop off me" or until the first person says "Wow Lou, you've lost weight", until then I'm not going anywhere near the scales or the tape.

I've been having egg mayo wrapped in ham for brekki, or ham and diced 2 cherry toms for brekky. Cheese salad or just pick at some cheese cubes with cucumber and onion and lettuce. tea is sausage and egg or bacon and egg or omelette and i'm drinking my water, still struggling to get my 2 ltrs in a day but i'm getting there ....... i'm probably drinking 2 pints of water a day.

I'm going to make my fave tomorrow night after shopping, the Crustless Quiche and have that warmed up for lunchtimes

A guy I work with is doing Atkins too, so we both exchange ideas etc

Anyway hun, CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS

      Chat soon
      Love & Hugs

      Lou

Congratulations on your success through your family dinner! It is not always easy when there is so much high carb and all those sugar deserts. I too went yesterday to inlaws and was pleased with myself on saying no thank you. I looked at all the dishes and they were all high carbs. I ate the ham and deviled eggs.

And so you should be pleased with yourself, you have done soooooo well hun!

The gym is going great and I now have found my very own shower room downstairs from my office, lol and it feels fantastic.

I've got all my soaps and smellies strategically placed in there and made myself at home and there is also an hairdryer in there for me with lights and massive mirror.

I actually look forward to going to the gym and i've already packed my gym back ready for tomorrow.
