  • Happy Sunday!

    Checkin in on this rainy, dreary Sunday morning.

    I got most of the house work done yesterday so today is about the Sunday paper, crossword a visit & cookout (in with the rain) with my bro home from Baltimore and stuffing envelopes this afternoon. I would like to end the day cuddled up with a good movie.

    What are you all up to today?

      Hi!! My kids are watching a movie while I have my coffee/computer time!! After their movie is done we're going to drive out to my friend's house so I can drop off an Avon catalog for her and her mom (I became an Avon Rep last week) and then we have to head to Aldi to do a monthly shop.

      Ok, now on to second-time-around talk:

      I have had a couple slips this past week. I had a SF fudgsicle, a couple teaspoons of peanut butter and yesterday about 15 bite-sized tortilla chips with salsa (that wasn't bad but the chips were). Otherwise, I've been doing ok. I have Karate classes on Mondays and Saturdays and I took a mile walk (around a gym track) last Tuesday. Also, on Friday I did 20minute Winsor Pilates workout. I feel "smaller". I have gone from 331.5 to 227 but this morning I was up to 228.5. I think it's a bit of TOM bloating and the kind of "gain" that happens after strenuous workout (and yesterday's Karate did some major ***-kicking, no-pun-intended). I look forward to a BIG WHOOSH as I am in Ketosis and plan on sticking this out. I'm gonna need to reread my book again b/c I've forgotten how to do OWL but for now I have another week or two of Induciton.

      This morning my husband said he wanted to go back to Atkins. So, as of tomorrow he will be starting Induction. I pack his lunches, I make dinner (except for Tuesdays when he cooks for us but can totally keep it legal) and I know he can do it. He has gained all that he lost and then some. I know he feels it and isn't happy with it.

        Hi folks!

        I'm hoping to go watch football with some friends, but right now i'm just chillin. I might clean the house while I watch the game since it doesn't seem that anyone is going to call me back!

        we'll see though, soon enough!

        Doing well, i've lost a pound this week on re-induction - but I got TOM too, so I guess I can't be too particular. I'm used to a bit more, but maybe it's just because it's only been a month since I was doing it before. Hard to say!

          Hi All

          We took our daughter to her swimming lesson this morning and started to watch a film this afternoon in front of a nice wood fire.

          We have just put DD to bed and hubby is cooking dinner - peppered steak and cauliflower cheese - yum!

            Hi y'all!

            I was up early to feed the cats, then snuggled and read in bed with dh until he got up to write on his blog. I fell back asleep and when I awoke, I was surrounded by sleeping kitties. All but one - the one was sitting in the window. Dh says they were FEMA - Feline Emergency Management Association. A pparently there was a DANGEROUS DEADLY FIERCE HUMMINGBIRD on the jasmine bush outside the bedroom window, and the cats developed a revolving sentry system to protect me while I slept. One stayed in the window to serve as a First Responder, while the others PRETENDED to sleep all around my body - but they were actually on guard in case the hummingbird got past the First Responder Kitty.

            I feel quite safe. Very safe. I sincerely doubt that any DANGEROUS DEADLY FIERCE HUMMINGBIRD will ever get inside our house, not with the coordinated efforts of the Siamese Attack Brigade. Whew!

            So it's about 11 a.m. here and after yesterday's work on the house I don't feel guilty about catching an extra four hours of sleep. Pretty soon I'll go unload the dishwasher and reload - our sink has been backing up for weeks and we can't get a plumber until next paycheck, so it's touch and go with the kitchen situation. I also have a couple of loads of laundry to do.

            It's a beautiful day outside and hopefully someone will go to coffee with me and we'll sit outside and get some sun. That's my favorite form of relaxation and catching up with the kids.

            I am still retaining water but yesterday didnt' drink my quota of water and i know that is stopping any release of fluid. My goal for today is 140 oz. I'm also due for a whooshie but am not holding my breath!

              An update:

              I've done all the dishes
              picked up all the clothes in my bedroom
              put all the newspapers for recycling

              it appears that I decided to clean after all!!

                Woo hoo, Knick! Same thing happened to me yesterday! I wasn't gonna do much, then ended up rearranging half the house! lol.

                  Hi All! It's a beautiful day today...sunny and dry..no humidity. Having a great day so far...went to the gym this morning and had a great workout...cardio and lifting.

                  Came home, had a nice pepperonis and mozzarella omelet w/bacon and started cooking for the week. Already made an eye round roast...next will be boneless pork chops breaded with Pork rinds and I have a huge box of mushrooms to saute'.

                  In between all of this I'm doing a little cleaning and straightening up...actually not that hungry today so I'm thinking that's a good thing...but I will eat properly

                      yep!

                      i've now cleaned off all the surfaces in the living/dining room. I'm about to go do them all in the kitchen. Once i'm done with that, i vacuum!

                      My study is still a mess with piles and piles of papers, but I dont seem to really care.

                      I probably should go to the grocery store actually. Hmm, maybe i'll do that first.

                        Dang, Knick! You're a veritable happy homemaker today!!!!

                        I got my nails done, cooked for the entire week, packed lunches for the entire week, did 3 loads of laundry, and am now going to enjoy what's left of the evening!

                        This weekend was great for me. Everything is back to its usual organized state and I am starting the work week in good shape!

                          I went to the store, then came home and stuck a roast in the crock pot and a quiche in the oven. *whew* I did not, however, vacuum.

                          then i read for a while.

                              oh, you think i'm done do you?

                              i have about 17 stacks of papers and articles and bills that I have to go through, and I have to vacuum. Ugh. It's never ending.
