  • Starting over again:

Greetings! I've never really gotten completely off of the Atkins plan, but I found myself getting sloppier and just too lazy to so all the right things. This also coincides with some changes in environment, but thats a whole "nother" story. When I started this I weighed in around 310-315 pounds. I got down to 255 when I was really living more strict. I would get up every afternoon, fix my "breakfast" and it was all basic real foods. I've now slid into eating more processed meats and such and have slid back up to about 265-268. I'm NEVER going back to eating the stuff that I used to, but I need a boot in the rear to get back into the great feelings when I lost all that weight in the first few months. I need to feel good about this again. I'm also going to start walking and possibly running when I lose a bit more weight. I have also not used any type of separate exercise outside of work. I am VERY active at work and work outside in a pretty physical "non-stop" 10 hour days. All the people who WERE on the Atkins, have now either stopped doing it or have left the company..
Starting weight: 310 Current weight: 292 Goal weight: 220

    Hi there!!

This is a great forum for getting you back on the straight and narrow. I do know what you mean re: convenience foods etc. I slipped a bit the last time I did Atkins and it ended up just stalling me. I now try to eat real foods and limit sweetners to a minimum. I've also cut out caffeine. I very occassionally have a diet pepsi as a treat - I tried caffeine free diet coke but it's revolting!

You could even join up to Boot Camp to really re-focus.

    Good luck.
