  • Starting atkins over, getting rid of the last 25lbs.

I'm starting atkins over. I did it for about 6 months and lost a total of 60lbs. I'm 16 and currently 150lbs. I want to get to about 125lbs before thanksgiving. Today I had broccoli & chicken and a diet dr. pepper. I think we're having chicken for dinner too. I really want to lose inches mainly though. I guess my figure is okay because of my body type, but still.

Lately i've been eating like a regular teenager I suppose. I haven't gained any weight back thank god but I don't like the whole fast food thing anymore. I feel kind of unhealthy when I eat it. The first two days of low-carbing is so hard for me though because I get really hungry an hour after I eat. I also lose weight really easily so I guess I have a fast metabolism. Right now my stomach is saying RAWR.

Hello Hello Gorgeous (sorry - couldnt resist it!!)
    Welcome to our family

Sounds like you are off to a good start with your menu though see how you go with the diet Dr Pepper - is it sweetened with splenda or another of the allowed sweeteners? If so remember to count how many servings are in the bottle or can - we are allowed up to 3 servings of recommended sweetener per day.

As to feeling hungry - make sure you are having enough fat in your meals. We aim for 65% fat/30% protein/5% carbs on induction.

You can track your ratios and carbs easily using www.fitday.com - here are some links to some hints on using it as a tool

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

        If you are hungry, EAT!
There is no reason whatsoever, to ever go hungry on Atkins.
Attitude is everything. If you affirm that low carbing is hard to do then that will be true for you.

If you affirm eating healthy and lavishly is easy to do, that will be true for you too.
