  • Going Into Second Week Induction...

Well I am going to go the distance this time. About two years ago I started and lost several pounds and inches and loved it...shortly after went through a divorce and got out of years of depression, verbal and emotional abuse. I am back on my feet now, single again after 15yrs, have 5 great kids, 4 still at home.Starting back to nursing school and working full time. Now that some time has past and there has been healing to my life, it is time to get my health back. Use to be very athletic...since my last child 11yrs ago, I have not been healthy and have been overweight. Wish me luck, i am in it for the distance this time. starting at 170, lost 5 last week. Goal is 120..lol! who knows, I know I am there somewhere. Thanks for any encouragement.

WOW! You are one strong woman! Congrats on what you've accomplished so far, and welcome, welcome, welcome to this forum!

Be sure to read all of the stickies on this forum, as they are rather useful. Be sure to post daily - whatever is going on, good or bad, it's important to be open and share.

I've got four kids at home myself, so I know what it's like to do this with a full house! And my youngest is 11, also! Like you, I used to be athletic, and am slowly getting back to that state. You'll find lots of people with whom you have things in common here.

    Glad you're with us!

I am also in week 2! I am starting to slowly get my energy and am starting to feel better. I can feel my body flushing out all the excess water and carbs and sugars! Don't feel as bloated-

Congrats on getting on your feet and taking a step in the right direction. You can do this!

You're doing really well so far! It is said you can expect to lose 10% of the amount of weight you need to lose in the first 2 weeks. 5 pounds is right on!

Re: Going Into Second Week Induction...

I always wonder about that ten percent thing - last time i lost 6 pounds in induction and that would be 60 pounds, which would have left me at 80 pounds total. That seems....wrong. ;-)

Oh, sorry, wrong thread! Welcome to STAC island! We have a strict induction thread that people are posting to every day, come and join us!
