  • Can I have any flavour of green tea?

I have just received my order from Twinings and now have pure, earl grey, jasmine, apple and pear, pineapple and grapefruit and lotus. There are no NV on the boxes. Will they be carb free do you think?

To my knowledge, the teas are carb free. I think you have to be careful of the caffiene if you are limiting yourself on that level. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

      From a website I found
      http://www.auravita.com/products/AURA/TWIN10480.asp
      Twinings infusions
      Low Carbohydrate?
Our infusions do contain carbohydrates. They come principally from the sugar in fruit pieces and from the starch that is used as a base for our flavours.

The exact quantity of carbohydrate varies from one infusion to another. Pure herbs such as Camomile and Peppermint contain virtually none, whilst Twinings fruitier infusions contain the most. Generally, our infusions contain less than 1g of carbohydrate per serving.
Twinings own website doesnt seem to have a 'nutrition' link but I only had a quick look.

You might be able to dig to find it or email them direct for info

Whenever I input 'herbal tea' into Fitday, it comes up with a few carbs...

The Atkins Institute long ago said you could have any flavor of green or herb tea. However, it cannot be considered part of your water intake for the day.

ive got Cinnamon, Lemon and Mint Green tea but haven't used them because they contain caffiene (they're not Twinings)

                    Hi Squeaker

They do contain small amounts of caffeine but I believe this is acceptable as green tea is so good for you. I have two cups a day max.
