  • Saturday Check-In

Good morning! Cats are fed, kids still asleep, dh waiting in bed for me to come and take a nap with him. I'm only up to snag one cat off the window screen (she still thinks she is a baby and light enough to climb up it to get at those evil, evil hummingbirds!) and check in here.

I love weekends. Nothing planned, no obligations. Dh is off today, so we'll just hang out together. Bliss!!!!!!!!!!!

The scale still says 200 lbs. No whooshie yet. Am I worried? Nope. I rechecked fitday. 1500 calories a day. Exercising faithfully. Drinking the water. This body simply wishes to hang on a little longer to that nasty fat. Part of learning to love my body is to learn to accept its ways.

    Life is GOOD!

    Re: Saturday Check-In

Weigh-in after a week on my "Early Start Though Too Broke For Yummy Foods" low-carbing was VERY disappointing. Only 3 pounds down from last Friday when I got started.

I had my disgusting egg (which is repeating on me and threatening to come up if I don't keep sipping water) and coffee, did a few cleaning chores, walked the dog, picked the last of the zinnias by the mailbox, and now about to go see if I can find a garage sale. I badly need some jeans since my skinny ones don't fit, and how can I do any gardening without jeans or shorts? The skinny ones haven't fit for 3 weeks. I've been seriously considering using my big, fat paycheck for one last big Carbapalooza before REALLY starting. Got to go get some Atkins friendly foods today after subsisting on eggs and tuna (ew).

Send some good vibes that I don't pick up Swiss rolls or something. What I need to do is BAKE, something like Elizellen's swiss roll flax stuff (or whatever it is, I was at work when I saw it so I didn't print it out). I have no idea why I'm feeling so down, I did get down 5.5 pounds, then up another 2.5.. Which is still a little better than where I was.

Come to think of it, I guess I'll look at recipes BEFORE I go out, and get some ingredients and some MEAT.

Good Morning I am back from the pits of Huricanne H*ll. Food choices were not all Atkins so back I go. Have a great weekend all. I will be unpacking all our valuables

Welcome home, Lauren! Is the house ok? You and the kids and dh ok?

Smallerizing - The combination of icky food, carb cravings, and jeans that don't fit is overwhelming. Congrats on not picking up Swiss Rolls! (I'm a Zebra Cakes gal myself). Good going!

DEFINATELY look at the recipe section before you go to the store. Make a list. Check it twice! Don't deviate!

Also, how about stopping by a thrift store for some jeans and shorts? You can usually get them for next to nothing and why spend $$$ on clothes that won't fit in a little while?

And don't sweat it about the scale. Really. Reread the Slower Scales Second Time Around sticky. Read it again. Cry if you have to, then go fix yourself some veggies and meat! Hugs to you!

Well I made it 6 days cheat free and working on day 7. I stuck to my committment from last Sunday and I've lost 8 pounds. It feels good be on a clean induction. I've joined two challenges and I've been keeping my journal up to date. I was very shaky last night but I handled it with journal writing, extra fat and veggies. Not perfect induction but way better then a carb blowout. I need to work on my water this week.

Finelly: Sounds like you're off to a great day

Smollerize: The end of your post is on the right track. GO SHOPPING! Stock up on food you love and can eat on this WOE AND buy some gardening clothes so you don't have to go naked. LOL

Laurenfro: OMG I hope you and yours are all OK and that you will be able to get home okay. Do the best you can and take care!

          Have a great day everyone.

            Hi Guys!

Small........... I am the same way with eggs. Cant over do or Ill just lose em. This woe would be so much easier if I liked eggs. I have also OD'd on tuna so it is a once a week thing for me now.

Fin......... your day of nothing but hanging with hubby sounds like heaven to me. Today is my anniversary and we dont have time to even spit let alone celebrate. Im hoping for a nice weekend get away next month to make up for it though and it will include such immenities as a hot tub and room service! (This though is subject to change if things dont begin to get better at his work. Gas isnt a big seller right now and he delivers it so days have been short here so the hot tub may have to be a leaky one and room service may be Dominos lol)

Michelle................ you are doing great!! 8#.... woo hoo!!

Lauren......... prayers have been with you. Hope you can feel em! Fill us in... everything OK in Laurenfra home ................. all things considered?

I have to confess, my induction is going wonderfully. Still look at foods on occasion that are not OK for me but resist all temptation. I did only an hour ago realize that I hadnt eaten more than an ounce of cheese and a 20 oz coffee in the past 26 hours.

And I was wondering why I was a little nauseas. So I headed home via the grocery store and made a nice big taco salad. I can feel the blood sugars all breathing a sigh of relief.

I everyone...I know it's late but I had work today....Overall it was a good day...nice and cool and sunny. Work went well...it's my second job and it wasn't too crazy at least

Didn't eat too much today but drank plenty of water...just wasn't that hungry for some reason.

Sounds like you all had a good day...Lauren...hope you and your family will be ok and you home isn't too damaged

I will be in Boot Camp...and very much looking forward to it...need to get back in control and straighten myself out and I figured Boot Camp is the way to do it!

I will still be checking in here at STAC...during the week.

              Night all!

                  hi all!

today was a do nothing day for me after the last week of craziness. It was SO FUN!

I had a burger, spinach salad, and some macadamia nuts. not really enough food though. Gotta work on that!

Knick, after last week you really deserved a nothing day. Im sure it was heaven on a bun.... er low carb pita. Now go eat something!!

Im back to doing the not hungry thing again but am conciously making myself eat even if it is only a slice of cheese or a few olives.

Fin, May not have been romantic but we were together all day and we are just postponing celebrating until we can do it right.

Spike, best wishes with Boot Camp. Be sure to check in just to let us know how you are doing. It sounds like a lot of hard work but Im sure it will be all worth it when it is over.

I was thinking bike too but ................. cold weather is coming. Im not into being that cold. But definately rethinking my driving habits.

Used to fill my car for 15 bucks. Took 39 yesterday. That REALLY hurt.
