  • Friday check-in

    Hello all

It has been so quiet on STAC! Where are you all? Hope you're all OK.

Miserable weather this morning but nice and cosy inside

My daughter is still recovering from a nasty cold and woke up twice last night. Only briefly but it still totally wrecks your sleep patterns! I was so tired this morning, that I went back to bed with her at 9am for an hour and a half! I missed breakfast this morning. Was too tired!

For lunch I had two frankfurters, 2 egss, bacon and 4 mushrooms. I had strawberries and cream (with half a teaspoon of splenda) for dessert - how good is this WOE?!

Dinner, I will have home made tomato soup and some flax bread (no seeds today as I had the strawbs instead).

    Have a nice day everyone.

    Re: Friday check-in

    Hi !

The board was down last night, I believe, which might be contributing to the quietness. But, I agree, it has been quieter than usual!

I'm doing well today - finally got rid of my poofiness! woohoo! About time! I'm going to go for a little run/walk before breakfast (boy is it cold out there, but it'll be good for me!). Then I have work work work, meeting at 4, then I think I'm watching a football game with my friends.

Food will be: quiche, hamburger with spinach salad, and I'm not sure what dinner will be yet. We shall see!

Ahhh - that will be it then. In fact, the board was down this morning (UK time) too.

Have a good run KK - you have inspired me to go out this afternoon for a walk. Good to get a bit of fresh air in the lungs!

          Re: Friday check-in

I had 2 scrambled eggs and 3 slices of bacon for breakfast and some leftover meatballs (made w/o bread crumbs) and some cheese for lunch. Celery sticks with chive cream cheese for a snack.

I am getting back into ketosis after being 'off' for a week. I didn't gain anything, just lost a week of losing weight. Thank goodness that was all I lost (I evacuated from Rita). I have a bit of a headache from withdrawing from carbs, but not near as bad as induction 4 weeks ago. I have to work late tonight, so I brought dinner with me, too.

Tomorrow my youngest turns 11 - I ordered a cake for him at Kroger's because I didn't think I could manage to make a cake at this point and not do a lot of 'tasting'. I may make some of Cleo's custard ice cream tomorrow night if I start feeling too deprived about not having cake and regular ice cream.

          Have a great weekend, guys!

            Re: Friday check-in

            Hey everyone,
Sounds like your all doing well, forming strategies for the weekend. I'll be cooking all weekend so that I can have food stored for the next week. I'll make a big quiche, some stuffed peppers (for a sick friend) and maybe some of those flax muffins.
Today is going pretty well, though I was too tired to get through my whole exercise routine this morning. I might be coming down with something.
I had flax o' meal for breakfast and a small salad with curried chicken salad on top. Lots of water, and I'll have the leftover asian marinated porkchops I made yesterday for dinner tonight.
            Have a great weekend everybody!

              Re: Friday check-in

Hi all! I was too sleepy to check in this morning, so here I am in the evening.

I woke up to find another 1.5 lbs gone, so that's four lost this week after that llllloooooooooooong pause. If I don't lose another pound for the NEXT three weeks, I'll be happy. (But I'll also be happy to drop more, lol)

I realize that we didn't measure this week because I got confused, so let's do it Monday!
