  • Hi, I've restarted Atkins again, too!

Hey everyone! Like you, I'm back for more Atkins fun! I hate that I'm not losing as much weight as the first time I started, but that's what I get for quitting, lol. The way I look at it, to lose the 65lbs I want to lose within a year, I only have to lose an average of about 6lbs per month, which is totally doable! I've already lost 8lbs and my month isn't up yet, so I'm already ahead of the game I look forward to getting to know everyone and never straying from this WOE again!!

Way to go, Stefanie, and way to set reasonable and very attainable goals!

What problems did you encounter last time on Atkins?

Nice to meet you! Welcome home!

Re: Hi, I've restarted Atkins again, too!

Nice to meet you too, Cleo! I have been lurking this board for awhile, and I must say you are one of my inspirations! The first time I started this WOE, I did wonderfully for almost 6 months, and lost 40lbs. The sad thing is, I didn't exercise, and if I did, I'm sure I would have even more. I also didn't know anything about stalls. I had stopped losing around the 5 month mark, and after a few weeks, I decided to eat anything I wanted to, and after that go back on Atkins to try and "shock" my body into losing again. Well, in the meantime, I started dating someone who constantly told me I was beautiful and didn't need a diet, and always took me out for pizza and other bad stuff. Needless to say, I made several attempts within the next 3 years to get back on track with this WOE and I never could for more than a few weeks. I left that person almost 2 years ago, and I still couldn't stick to the plan. Now, I'm truly ready to do it again. I gained 15lbs this summer alone. I REFUSE to buy size 22 pants...so I have a better idea, I'll get down to all the size 14s I was in when I quit Atkins the first time, and then when those get too big, I'll buy some size 12s. Sounds good to me!

Thanks for your reply, Cleo, and I'm sorry I wrote you a novel lol

Re: Hi, I've restarted Atkins again, too!

Novels are good! Being able to address the things that have tripped you up in the past is the first step into not repeating the same mistakes again as you move forward!

Have you already read the stickies in this forum? There are many people, like you, who have fallen off of the wagon and who have climbed right back on! I know that this time around I'm not making the same mistakes as last time, and my experience is being wholly different and very positive!

It's so nice to be able to interact with others who suffer the same issues I do, the same setbacks that I do, and who continue onward even still!

There are no judgements here. Only love, acceptance, support and celebration!

Thank you for the positive vibes! I look very much forward to seeing your success on this WOE. you rocked it before, and you will again!
