  • Monday Check-in?

    Couldn't access the board recently due to a pc malfunction but I'm back now.
    Everyone have a good weekend?
    Still drinking gallons of water but the tooth dilemma continues - they cancelled Friday's appointment so I'm stuck eating mush until 18th October!!!! So am getting pretty sick of scambled eggs, soup ect but will persevere.
    at least I can't even think of cheating with anything hard or sticky.....

    Oh Squeaker... Im sorry to hear that your tooth is still hurting you. I hate that dentists can make people wait as long as they do when in pain. Meanwhile you have to eat a lot of ibuprofen and burn holes in your stomach while they feel you are managing your pain. (Im digressing....... Horror story of my own from the past.)

    Good that you are drinking lots of water and getting the right foods in!

        I can't believe they are making you wait so long. You poor thing. Enough to put you off flax for life LOL!

        I've had a good day. Down 1.5 pounds this morning (slowly slowly catchy monkey!). My daughter slept all the way through and seems better today so we went off to the gym/creche. I did 40 mins cardio as usual but stepped it up a few gears. I loved it. Had my headphones on and it was 80's classics on VH1 (I was born in '72 so this is just up my street). I had to stop myself singing out loud!

        Breakfast: Egg, mushroom and bacon. Lunch: avocado, lettuce, radishes and cheese (picked up four unusual varieties in my local farm shop and they are great). Don't know what I'll have for dinner. Maybe cauliflower bisque.

            I'm here, checking in after a weekend of stress (car worries) and fun. The car worries were just due to a sparkplug (WHEW!)

            I didn't do so well on water this weekend and I am all bloated today paying for it.

            Oh well, back on the bandwagon today

              So sorry about your tooth! I've been there too. Just getting over a terrible toothache myself!
              I'm kinda excited that we're starting a new month. It gives me a clean slate with which to restart my exercise plan and develop new strategies. I've joined a few challenges to keep me on track, I'm trying to post more and I'm counting on all of you to hold me acountable!
              This morning I had flax o'meal (am I EVER going to get sick of this stuff???) and I'll have eggplant parmagiana for lunch. Leftover sausage with turnips and cabbage for dinner.
              HW: 217, lost 57 lbs. in 2003/04
              Restarted on 8/18/08
              SW:197 CW: 190 GW: 160
              I promised myself I'd never see 200 on the scale again!

                hi all!

                doctor appointment this evening to find out if I have strep throat. It seems to be clearing up on its own though, so either way, yay!

                Not doing well on the food - not being able to swallow makes life difficult. Resorted to ice cream for a bit before I got some chicken broth made. I'm annoyed because this likely means i have to fight my way back down to 128 after just making it there. argh!

                oh well.. life goes on!
