    Hi Guys

    For the first time since day 2 of doing this WOE, I have been really hungry today. I am pretty certain why... I saw on another thread yesterday that Atkins now says one cup of regular coffee a day is fine. I made my hubby a big pot of freshly ground coffee this morning and decided to indulge in a cup (I normally drink decaf tea). About 30 mins later I began to feel soooo hungry - I was craving salad cream... now I know you will tell me off but I ended up having 1 teaspoon of it (0.9 carbs) as I knew it would nip it in the bud (it did) and didn't want to go on a food frenzy trying to get the taste from other foods and then eating it anyway. Slapped wrist for me but at least it shouldn't cause too many problems.

    I am off to drink lots of water and watch my favourite daytime show.

    I'm sorry...what is salad cream? Salad dressing? Mayo? Well, if there are carbs in it--you can always start over tomorrow! It's going to be ok. Don't get discouraged. A lot of people after taking in carbs they weren't supposed to have start eating other carb food-don't let yourself do that! Once you start it is really hard to stop sometimes. You, however, seem like a very motivated person and I'm sure will do just great!

      Salad cream is a salad dressing like mayo but it contains sugar. It is 1.8g per serving and I had half a serving. Thankfully, I am in deep ketosis (very purple on stix) and don't feel hungry again now. It was a blip. x

        I've found that coffee makes me hungry too, but I'm not sure whether it's the coffee or the cream that I put in it that triggers the hunger. I tend to avoid the stuff, except on rare occasions.

          Well lesson learned and with very little consequences...you are lucky. I think I will stay away from the coffee.

            I am definitely going to stick to de-caf. I don't crave caffeine anyway so it was just not worth it!
