  • My own "Shrinktoberfest"

I have decided to celebrate my favorite season by having what I call "Shrinktoberfest."

In the past week, I have been very careful about measuring veggies and cheese. I have done away with my best friend, ranch dressing..which I think may be a trigger for me. I am not hungry at all! I am drinking at least a gallon of water daily. I received cortisone injections in my knees yesterday in hopes of being able to rock out better in the gym and the pool.

And the BIG KAHUNA. I actually weighed myself Tuesday. Weighing has been a big scary deal for me because I know that the #s do not show up sometimes.
I will weigh myself at the end of the month....and ONLY once a month.

SO anyway, I estimate my weight loss since June 1 at about 45-50 lbs., however I do not have a starting weight, only an estimate of what I gained after I weighed myself last in Feb. 05.

I know I have lost close to 50 because people are starting to notice. It always takes that long.

Anyway, that is where I am...5 days into "Shrinktoberfest"...no brats..no beer!

I LOVE YOU! *lol* You are so great. I love it! Shrinktoberfest! Are you german, too?

I grew up for part of my life (and was born in) Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I think we share the same pain. I have found some wonderful brats, however, that are very low-carb. Buy the Johnsonville (or an even better brand minus all the additives if you have any locally) and look for the lowest carb ones! I cook them and then use cheese, chopped red onion and saurkraut (Lisa M's other white meat) on them. OMG! They are divine! I've never missed the bun!

I am so proud of your weight loss!!!

I guess I would eat brats if I liked them alot.

I am only a little German. Mostly Irish and Portuguese.

        Shrinktoberfest is continuing......

I am also only drinking water. A green tea here & there for the whooshie effect.

I completely mis-read that - I thought it said shrink to beer fest!!! He He!!
