  • Quick food, sick of cooking!

I do make alot of things that me and my family can eat for supper. Yet I need some quick things for lunch and if I get this job that I have the interview for Monday..... So I am already thinking I am sick of cooking, and I want some quick things to eat that are still good.

What do you take to work for lunch or have for lunch? I love salids butttttttttttttttttt....................... Thanks for any ideas......... or point me somewere please !!

I had a good salid the other day with a herbed chicken breast cut up on it! Yet I am not imaginative!!

I love breadless BLT. Small amount of lettuce covered with half a sliced tomato (or more depending on what rung you're on) then lots of mayo and bacon. I also like to add a few cubes of cheese. You can knock this up in about 5 mins (as long as it takes to cook the bacon) and it really is delicious. If you like things hot, add some tabasco too - yummmy!

My favorite fast lunch food is deli meat (the good boars head variety, if possible) and some good cheese. My most favorite is roast beef, swiss cheese, and a little horseraddish. Yum. Or just ham and cheddar. I might also have a couple of olives and a pickle on the side. Sliced cheddar or pepperoni's give me a little snack later. Someone is going to say to go easy on the pepperoni, but I forget why.

Thanks! I also would have tuna. I had it once with mayo and and ate it with celery. Not too bad. I just love tasty new things, I don't want to get bored. Thanks for all the ideas, I am sure we all can use them!

Sometimes I make tuna salad, egg salad, turkey or roast beef roll ups with cream cheese. Sometimes I put horseradish on my roast beef roll ups. I eat alot of salad. I bring leftover dinner from the night before. These are just some suggestions. Deviled eggs is another.

Re: Quick food, sick of cooking!

I like to scramble up an egg or two w/ pepper jack cheese. It reheats pretty well. Also, when I wrap cream cheese in lunch meat, I like to add some cayenne pepper....yum!

Hi, Beth! I love your name!

I agree with Beth. Eggs re-heat uber-easily. I usually scramble the night before and just reheat the next day!
