  • Friday check-in

    Hi everyone

Hope you are all well. I am feeling much better today. We ventured out for a walk in to town to buy my sister's birthday present - it was nice to get out in to the fresh air.

My husband exclaimed last night... 'you have lost an incredible amount of weight off your face - it's so slim!' YAY!!!! It's starting to show! I actually put on a pair of jeans and a top today and thought I looked OK (apart from a scratch on the end of my nose courtesy of DD!).

So feeling jolly and looking forward to the weekend. Off for lunch with my sister, her BF and two kids and my Hubby and daughter tomorrow so that should be fun.

    Have a lovely weekend all.

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great Friday.

Zara...sounds like you have some nice plans for this weekend...and isn't it nice when someone notices the loss AND actually says something? Way to go!

It's still raining here...pouring and windy. 8th straight day...maybe tomorrow afternoon it will be better. Had some power outages and my computer is still out. Maybe once it dries out I will be able to boot up.

Almost time to leave work...then it's off to the gym

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

          Re: Friday check-in

Well, here is my check in.

I am back on the induction path, once again. I get so tired of hearing myself say this. Anyway, I am back on as of tomorrow. To make it more challenging, it is Ramadan and it is gonna be a little bit more of a challenge to make sure I eat. For those that don't know what that is, it is where I fast from sunrise (about 6:09 am) to sunset (about 7pm) and that means no food or even water til the fast is over at sunset--this lasts til about 19 or 20 days from now. So getting in all my water plus dragging myself awake even earlier than for work to have breakfast will be hard but I am determined to go thru it no matter what.

But now that I think about it, actually, this may be a good thing! Especially during the first "craving week" of induction because no matter what, I will NOT violate my fast to eat anything, so I will just have to deal with them at the same time as my hunger pangs! lol! And if I can do that, then I will be home free. That is my biggest obstacle to induction, the cravings in the first 3 to 5 days! After that, I am fine! When I start induction over and over, that is where I always fail---the first 3 days. It is hard sometimes when hubby brings in junkfood. Now, my husband has his own foodie cabinet now where he can keep all his junk and I have resolved to not even look in there, no matter what. I really have to go back on now because he is also becoming my saviour/worst nightmare by every time I put something in my mouth he says, "are you suppos'd to eating that?" Or "I thought you on diet?" (his english is not the best but I get the drift!) LOL!

Anyway, here I go back on the Atkins merry-go-round.
