  • Day one is going good...but I need help. NOW

    Hello, fellow STAC'ers!

I am officially back at it and have had great success thus far. Well, when you have to fast all day, (if you want to know why and what I mean, read Fridays check in) that kinda makes it easier......but anyway. Now, my fast ends in about....oh.....40 minutes and I am on the verge of a craving attack. I am talking myself out of it the best I can. It is not food really, it is sweets. Mainly, soda. I am dying for a MD soooooo bad, I can taste it. I am trying hard to ignore it but I had to come here before I screw up yet AGAIN. Please, please, I am begging you, post me some encouraging, uplifting things to help me turn my back on this craving! Help help help!

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you really want MD to stand in the way of a healthier\sexier\happier you??? What about 7up w\ splenda? Thats fine! Hurry and run to the store! Dont let youself go down like that, you can push through this. It's only the begining and if you cave once, it will make it easier for you to cave every time you are craving something. If you get past this, it will make the next SOOOO much easier. Dont give in whatever you do.

Picture yourself as what you want to look like\how you want to feel. You dont need that MD, you've got a goal and you've got your eye on that goal, dont give up! You can do this!

When I had attacks like that I would just pull out the water and chug as much as I could. Just tip it back and keep going, lol! until you feel like you cant swallow anymore. that way there's no room for MD GET OUT THE WATER!!!!!!

I agree with speedy and wannabe!

You are de-toxing, and those things you want MOST are the strongest drugs in your system.... sugar!

You know, it's not hard for me to come off of a starch-binge. But a sugar one? OMG! I'm so bad that the UN tries to drop-ship Pamprin on my house during a sugar de-tox.

Sugar is reallllly reallllly bad, and when you consider that most of the American population eats in excess of 200 pounds of sugar a YEAR, you could imagine why our bodies so fight for it when suddenly it is gone.

Even if you are fighting every single minute, for every single hour, for the next day, you are winning the battle. And you're worth fighting for.

                That's an awesome idea, wannabe!

When I'm not napping, I'm indulging in a decorating magazine coveting skills I just don't have for interior home improvement... *LOL*

Thanks you guys, I needed that! Cleo, you as always have great advice. Congrats on your weightloss goal I was reading on the board, BTW! 100 lbs is amazing! I wanna be YOU! About the sleeping.....umm....I don't know what time it is in Canada but here it is 7:00pm and going to sleep right now is a bit early, even for me! LOL! But it was a good idea, Wannabethintoo! Thanks so much for the post, Speedy! I went right to the store as soon as you said that and picked one up! However, to my dismay, when I tasted it, it tasted a little too good, ya know what I mean? Turns out there is FRUIT JUICE in it! Dang it! Why does everything that tastes good, is bad for you? Oh well. I am going to buy some of my favorite Diet Rite tomorrow, but I think that I will try my best to stick to good ol' H2O. After, I realized I couldn't drink the 7up, I went and got a drink of nice, cold, cold water from my fridge and you know what? It hit the spot. Thanks, guys! Now I am going to eat! Nummmmmy!

Im sorry! There are a couple kinds of 7up i guess. I actually think there was a thread about it too. they have a 7up plus, or something along those lines that has the fruit juice in it, or maybe the other way around, lol! eek!! the bottle that i have is just the original in the green bottle and it says made with splenda, the ingredients is fine, no fruit juice.
Anywho-sorry about that! Maybe I should shut my pie-hole before i give any ideas!!! lol.

Great job though! thats a tough thing to overcome, but you got it done and over with!!! woo-hoo! great job girlie!
