  • Pounds melting again but with changes

Hi all, I have decided to try something new since my long stall on Atkins but I do believe low carb works to some extent. A friend of mine introduced me to the Prism weight loss program. Yes, there is a book you can buy and learn the eating program. Basically, you stay away from white sugars and white flours for the first 6 weeks. No wheat bread during this time too. Calories do count just like they do on Atkins. They tell you the difference between good carbs and bad.

Now I can have fruit again, brown rice, and a wider variety of foods and the pounds have started to melt off me. It is a lifestyle change, similar to Atkins but less restrictive. My body is loving it and I am still not hungry. All I can say is do what works for you and this works for me. I is Christian based with scripture reading but you don't have to be religious or Christian to do it.

I guess you can say it is similar to OWL if you compare it to Atkins with less fat. So if you are stalling on extended induction, I say eat more complex carbs like fruit and veggies. Just my 2 cents worth!

I started this a week ago and have lost 5 lbs now. I couldn't budge on extended induction for over 6 wks. I guess I finally found what works for me!!! I am so happy

pjade-- you are really extremely kind to say that! *slips you that $20*

That's the beauty of there being so many choices available. With all our unique bodies, not one thing CAN work for everyone! I'm just glad you came to say, "Hey! I'm still ok! I'm doing well, and I am doing something that really works for me and I'm excited about it!"

I want to see pictures, too! I need motivation! It's not like I'm posting any updates anytime soon. I need to live vicariously through someone's success!

There's nothing wrong with success--no matter how we achieve it!

        You work it, honey!
