  • I cheated this time around

I had no problem with induction a couple years ago. Now, I'm going crazy. I was whigging out yesterday and almost went and got donuts in the middle of the night. I don't even LIKE donuts! What is wrong with me? Yesterday I had a bite of the banana I was cutting up for my toddler, and today I had three sugar-free candies. I'm also consuming maybe five Splenda per day. All in all, I guess it could be worse. I didn't eat the donuts, right?

So, my roundabout question is...do I have to start all over? How badly have I screwed things up?

For me- I had to ease my way into Induction.
Diet coke were the last to go- but I did it and haven't looked back.
    You'll do the same.

It's much better if you cheated with a bite of bananna then a row of oreo's.
    Hang in there!

I had to ease my way in too. Still is trying at times, but it's way more doable now that ketosis has kicked in. When you whig out a little by taking a bite here or there, just keep track of it and keep it under 20g every day. May not be by the book, but it'll get you on track AND you'll still lose some weight.

My answer depends a little on your current weight to goal. The banana was certainly off the plan eating, and not having your eating completely under control also is worrisome. I am less concerned over the carbs of the bananas since if you ate correctly afterwards you should get yourself back into Induction soon. What you did was not catastrophic, but key now is preventing any further dalliances with the dark side.

I personally would stick on Induction until those sorts of feelings are in the past, or you feel more in control. That may happen in 10 days or in another 14 days of cheat free living. You can certainly do this.
