Okay, so today is day fourteen for me. I am going to stay on induction a little longer because I am not losing as quickly as I was. I think in the past two weeks, I have lost about six pounds. Which is great. I intentionally started again two weeks ago on a Tuesday because that day is a big trigger day for me. On Tuesdays, an office mate brings in a basket of pastries and bagels,etc... There is something about it being free and in my face, that always made me fall off my new way of eating. So, to make my story even longer, trusty office mate comes in today with his basket and there is not just pastries and bagels, now there are doughnuts. Not just any old ones either... (we'll just leave it at that...) so what could I do???? I immediately ran to my computer and logged on to you guys. I did it! I made it all the way through the morning without the nasty old things. Now, they are all gone and another Tuesday is done! Victory. Thanks, friends!

what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)

Thank you both. Isn't it funny how much better we do when we can recognize our triggers? Another example was yesterday... We all had the day off due to H. Wilma passing through. In the past, that would have been a trigger for me to cheat. I would have had the attitude of nothing good to eat in the house or the storm is a reason to celebrate (junk food comfort). In any case, I pushed through it and heated up bacon and cabbage. It was actually quite tasty and I didn't feel the yuckiness after eating it. Another trigger successfully beaten!149.8/no weigh/ 119
