  • Argh!!!! Food day at work!

    I don't want any! I don't want any!

    Today my job is having a food day...there's donuts, bagels...chips/dip...sweet stuff...all in the break room. I'm trying to resist the urge to cheat...I need a spine!!!

    Buddin.......Dont do it. I had the SAME thing happen to me on Friday and I caved. Its so not worth the minute of pleasure you have when eating something. You will feel icky for the rest of the day. RESIST GIRL!!!!!!!!! Stay away from the breakroom, if you must go in avoid the tables. You can do it, Be stronger then I was!!!!

      Buddin,

      If you can stay away from the break room, then please DO NOT ENTER! Think of any reason you can to stay away today. Stay at your cubbie and pretend to be invisible. Do you have healthy snacks with you? Eat those...even if you go over your legal carbs today that would be better than an donut or chips and dip. Eat something good and get out of work as early as you can! You can do it! You can do it. You can do it!

          thanks for the moral support!!! It's working...

          I haven't stayed away, but I've eaten ONLY healthy stuff...a few pieces of brocolli and some cream cheese based dip...A very small piece of crustless quiche (like 1" x 1")...and a tiny bowl of some veggie cheese soup (only ate the veggies - brocolli & cauliflower - poured out the remaining sauce).

          I don't know the exact carbs in the dip or soup...I've consumed about 1 cup of brocolli/cauliflower/celery so I'll be sure to count them in fitday...Probably 4 tbsp of dip...

          How much do you think I should count for the quiche? It tasted like just egg with a little cheese...(that may have blown it for me)

          For lunch...I'll eat my salad, tuna w/mayo, and 12 olives...and I'll stay away from the food for the rest of the day.

          At least I didn't crave to the sugar foods or the chips/crackers/little smokies in bbq sauce.
