  • Starting over again, right now

I'm up 16 pounds and have to get things turned back around again. Things have been so crazy and offkilter for so many months now it's just normal. I have to get some consistency back into my life and it has to start with the food i eat. we have been so busy with work and thing after thing coming up to disrupt our schedules, that we've been eating out most nights of the week. Now having hit a turning point where it could go either way, i need to dig myself out of this funk. if i don't, it'll be a long dark spiral down and i'll be worse off than when i started!

So starting right now, here i go. i've discovered that not planning my week in advance is really bad and setting myself up for failure on this WOL. the second item is getting my exercise period scheduled in sometime after work each day. I've got to get it organised so i don't have to think about the food i'm going to be eating or let myself get hungry, my food's gotta be there in reach the second i need it, or i just grab whatever is there which may be bad like bread. i've noticed my body really doesn't handle eating bread and pasta and other carby foods well at all. i bloat right up pretty quickly, and get a nasty case of brain fog.

I need to try new recipes, i have appetite fatigue so bad right now. so i've been looking at lots of different low carb recipes. I'm gonna have to take this new start a minute at a time, since the cravings seem ever so much worse this time. i get 12 hours in or 24 or 36 and bang i eat some carbs. i made my kid some banana chocolate chip bread today and i ate about 4 slices of it :-( at least it was really good! but all of a sudden my body started telling me, hey this -doesn't- taste so good and it's not filling the craving. i think i have been craving fat all day...

well, i'm off to bed now and gonna start the day off right.

Shade, its good to see you again. I have been having problems staying on track also so if I can hang on your coat tail maybe we can do this together.
