  • Tuesday check-in

    Good morning all

I am very happy today. Firstly, my Dad is being discharged from hospital this afternoon which is great. Secondly, I have lost the 4 pounds that I put on when he was sick in just one day! I now just need to lose another 3 to be where I would have been if I'd stuck to plan.

I am a bit naughty as I skipped breakfast this morning (needed to go back to bed with my little baby daughter as am catching up on lost sleep) but will have a nice lunch of sausage, bacon and egg.

Tonight I will have either home-made low-carb soup with a flax cracker or cheese and bacon salad. I am trying to have my main meal at lunch time these days.

Hope you are all well. Where are Finelly, Terry and Cleo? Didn't see them around yesterday?

Look forward to hearing all your news

    Re: Tuesday check-in

Hi All Home computer is back up, but everything has been nuts...the house I have an apartment in, is up for sale, so the landlord had a Broker open house on Friday and another one on Sunday for prospective buyers...I was home for all of this as I'm not comfortable with strangers trapsing through the place, and I was also worried that they wouldn't be watchful of my cat, and leave the door open by accident and since he would be frightened, he would maybe run out.

It all went well but it's stressful, especially not knowing when moving day will be. Thankfully they are looking for a house with an apartment, so I will be moving with them. We're almost like family so it's a good thing.

I have to admit I had a little cheat on Sunday with half a donut Didn't take long for me to get sick to my stomach and, funny thing, start to itch. Very wierd...went right back on track with my next meal and all is ok

Zara...glad to hear your Dad is doing much better and will be going home

Hope everyone has a great day!

      Hi Spikette

Sorry to hear about the stress over the weekend. Hope you (they) find somewhere even better for you.

I know what you mean about the itching. I suffered really bad with that when I fell off the wagon.

      Nice to see you again.

        Re: Tuesday check-in

I'm checking in. I'm sorta new here. To this particular forum anyway. I'm home sick with an upper respiratory infection, but sticking to program.

I'm on day 8 of induction. I'm happy to say I haven't cheated once, nor do I plan to cheat, although, I guess it's not usually every a planned thing.

All the meds I'm taking for my cold are making me a little nauseated, but I'm sipping broth, and eating, just little bits at a time.

Looking forward to getting aquainted with you all!

I did drink all my water the past couple of days. I find that it makes me thirsty during the night! So, I have definitely been drinking it all lately. Hope everyone has a great day!
