  • If you give a Mod a Muffin

If you give a Mod a Muffin,
you might find that with her muffin she needs some cream cheese.

    The cream cheese is delicious.
But then she finds that the cream cheese
    makes her thirsty.

Because she is thirsty, she drinks
a cold, tall, mug of milk.

If you give a Mod some Milk
you might find that with this milk
    some chocolate is in order
(since she was so good and well-behaved
    during Halloween).

    With the chocolate,
you discover that peanut butter tastes even better
    on it
so she goes to get a knife

On the way to the knife,
    some chips are spied.

If you give a Mod a muffin, and some milk,
cream cheese, chocolate and peanuts butter,
you might find that she wants something spicy.

So she melts cheese on the chips and them pours
    some salsa into a bowl.
Some more milk is needed naturally,
but instead she drinks Diet Coke
because all moderators know Diet Coke evens out the actual number
    of carbs in anything naughty.

So if you give a Mod a Diet Coke,
you'll find that she feels less guilty about everything else she ate
So she has a piece of toast.
On that piece of toast she needs some sweet cream butter.
So she runs to grab another knife.

So you gave a Mod a muffin.

Chances are, the kitchen is laden
with dirty knives, crumbs, remnants of things
    she can't even remember eating,
and now she's in bed because she isn't
    feeling well.

So you give the Mod a Mylanta.

And she starts over at day one.

I suppose I should always pre-edit for spelling, too.

Re: If you give a Mod a Muffin

Lol cleo! We have those books! The kids loved them. I had a teacher send me this a couple of years ago:

If You Give a Mom a Muffin

If you give a mom a muffin (atkins friendly of course ), she'll want a cup of coffee to go with it. She'll pour herself some. The coffee will get spilled by her three year old. She'll wipe it up.

Wiping the floor, she will find some dirty socks. She'll remember she has to do some laundry. When she puts the laundry in the washer, she'll trip over some snow boots and bump into the freezer. Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan supper for tonight.

She will get out a pound of hamburger. She'll look for her cookbook. (101 Things To Make With A Pound of Hamburger.) The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail. She will see the phone bill which is due tomorrow. She will look for the checkbook.

The checkbook is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two year old. She'll smell something funny. She'll change the two year old. While she is changing the two year old the phone will ring. (Of course!)

Her five year old will answer it and hang up.

She remembers that she wants to phone a friend to come over for coffee on Friday. Thinking of coffee will remind her that she was going to have a cup. She will pour herself some. And chances are, if she has a cup of coffee, her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it.
