  • Back on track ... hopefully

Well, I cheated off and one for about 2 months. I'm about 5 pounds higher than what my signature says, but I so don't want to change the signature poundage. (Smile)

It's just so hard to get back on track once you've cheated. I went 6 months without a single cheat and did wonderfully. Then I ALLOWED myself to cheat and it went downhill since then. Just thought I'd post something saying that I'm trying to kick myself in the butt. I would like to get down to at least 165 by Christmas. I was 180 on Monday when I weighed myself.

I just had to call my husband today and let him know that I so wanted to cheat. He actually talked me out of it. Normally he tells me to just do whatever I feel is right.

Okay, I guess that's all for now.

Hi, Debbie! I love your new pictures! I wouldn't change the signature line for 5 pounds.

    I mean what's that? A Texas hangnail.

It's good you made it back and are keeping those carb cravings at bay! You'll do it!

Thanks. I just need to keep reminding myself how much happier I am now than I was 50+ pounds heavier. When I look at my before picture, I keep wondering who was that person. And I even thought it was a good picture when it was taken.

I figure if I can go 2 weeks without cheating, the cravings won't be quite as bad. And I'll be able to get rid of most of the sugar cravings before Thanksgiving. Luckily, Thanksgiving isn't really a food holiday for me, so I don't think it'll affect me as much.

I love your new picture too. (I don't know when you put it up since I haven't really been reading lately, but it's new to me.) (Smile)

Thanks. A friend that enjoys photography and make up has used me to play around on. I take some pictures of her and then she takes some pictures of me. It's fun and I don't quite cringe as much when a camera is in front of me. (Smile)

When I was heavier, I rarely let anyone take my pictures. The only reason I have the heavy one above with my daughter is because someone lectured me and told me that if something happened to me, my daughter wouldn't have that many pictures of her mother.

                Thanks everyone for giving support!

Debbie - take it from someone who lost 30 lbs and then gained 30 back (all the while, trying to 'catch' myself) - get back on track right away! It is not fun to say you gained back all 30! I don't know why I didn't catch myself when I had gained 5 lbs back. It was so weird, Atkins was so easy for me, then I got married and decided I would "take a week off" and I have been trying to get back on track ever since (almost two years ago!). Good luck! I'm glad that you came back and are going to renew your committment! I am too!

My gosh, Debbie, you're absolutely gorgeous! Next time you're tempted to cheat, just look at that photo and say to yourself, "that's just too good to mess up!" I know if I were as attractive as you are, that would sure do it for me!

Thanks. I was thinking about putting up a few of my before pictures to make me remember what my weight got to after having my daughter. I'm actually at the weight I was before I had my daughter. If I lose another 30 pounds, then I'll be at the weight I was at before I got married.

I think whenever I feel a cheat, I'll just grab a water and go online to see what's going on in this board. (Oh yeah, my cheating pretty much happened around the time that I quit my job and became a stay at home mom. Too much time on my hands.)

Debbie kudos for not giving up on yourself. I was reading your post and realized that you are almost my twin. i'll pm you the reasons why. Meanwhile don't give up and keep up the good work. Also say your prayers that dh seems to be willing to help. I know that can be a challenge.
