  • No Appetite

As much as I never thought I would ever have to say that about myself, here I am at that deep into ketosis stage where the pounds are flying off and I have NO desire to eat whatsoever!!! I am eating one meal a day or 1 meal with a bite or two of something in between. I just can't eat any more. I am making sure that I eat a salad in with my protein every day but I just can't believe how satisfied I am with so little food. Weirdness! I am determined to be at Onederland by December 1st. I figure if I can do that, I will just breeze right through Xmas (dreamer eh?). Anyway just wanted to share and see if anyone else is going through the lack of appetite thang!

I've been there. When ketosis kicks in, it's a beautiful thing, but you also have to be uper careful to not undereat. I know there are days I have to force more than 600 calories per day down and I'm just not hungry. This is a mixed blessing. Ways to counteract this would be to try eating a little less fat with the veggies, so that the blood sugar can actually help you feel some of that hunger. Also, try not drinking with meals. Just a couple thoughts. It's good to see you back.

It doesn't have to be a lot, but you do need to eat.

I cannot wait to be in the stage where I am not constantly hungry! Like the others said just be careful, you don't want to cause yourself problems, or stall yourself out without eating enough. When I was doing it before I had to force myself sometimes, but I always made sure I at least ate two good meals and snacks in between.

          Star -

I get that every few weeks for a week or so. What I do is put little things in little baggies and every hour or two I grab it and eat it while doing something else, so I don't have to think about eating. Might be an oz of nuts, or a piece of string cheese, or 1/2 of a devilled egg. Just SOMETHING that I can eat fast and not have to think about.........

            Re: No Appetite

I find that too. Eating in the morning is almost impossible for me. I can usually eat about 3 hours after I get up but not before. Sometimes I skip breakfast but I know it's not a good idea.

I find I am most hungry at lunch time so I have my main meal then and a small dinner or soup or salad.

Good luck on reaching onederland x

thanks all. Yes I am certainly trying to eat more than once a day but my body is just not hungry. Course the scale dropping like it is doesn't upset me much either! lol
