  • Monday check-in

    Morning everyone

Lost another pound this week - 15 pounds away from Onederland...... I am determined to get there ASAP.

Am off to the gym this morning for 40 mins cardio. I haven't been for a few weeks so it will probably be tiring!

Then it's just a day of chores around the house

    Hope you are all well

    Re: Monday check-in

My monday is over. Breakfast was two hard boiled eggs, coffee with cream.
Lunch and dinner was tuna fish salad. We are trying to clean out our cubboards before the move so I will be having a lot of duplicates.
I just got back from the pool where I did my two laps and then an hour of Water Arobics. I feel like a prune and water logged, but it's good exercise for me cause I have arthritis in my feet.

    41 pounds down and counting

      Hi Zara and Desert!

Im not a big fan of Mondays lately. Today is my first day of full on induction now that I have spent almost 2 weeks backing into it. I figure the next few days will be a challenge and am shooting for the other side.

Will check back in again this afternoon and report back how I made it thru the day at work preparing for a Thanksgiving dinner that I will be putting on Wednesday this week.

      Have a great day all!!

        Re: Monday check-in

Today is my first real challeng, being at work. I had 2 deviled eggs, a sausage patty, and a stick of cream cheese with celery for breakfast. I've already downed 40 oz of water, thankfuly I lov the stuff. Another girl here is doing "atkins" or her version of it, I just hope she leaves me alone because she is the type that will drink soda, or have a low carb bar because "it's only 10 net carbs" etc. , and you can't tell her otherwise because she knows everything! She already came over once this morning trying to tell me about these new "metabolism" pills she is taking.

Terry - You can do it my friend. Defo report back later and let us know how your day went.

Missymiss - your colleague sounds like a nightmare! You stick to it. Those frankenfoods won't help you at all.

            Re: Monday check-in

YIKES!!! My old scale broke and just replaced it last night. I weighed this morning and OMG!!!! I'm sooo upset with myself for letting this weight come back on. I need a buddy to make me move my butt and exercise. I'm not a person to do that alone. I guess I better get in the habit of it just the same.
I'm soo proud for you all.

I am checking in, too. I had a great week-end with my beautiful baby niece, all five pounds of her. Wow, being an aunt for the first time is an amazing experience. Of course, my brother in law is in culinary school and had to show off for us. Do you see where I am going with this??? Steak and <cough> some other stuff. Long story short, Day One Induction for Shannon. Again, Day One #335! Oh, well, she is a pretty little thing...

                    rung 4 - berries, melon

Oh, wow, it feels so good to actually be able to sign on, read all of your posts, AND post myself!

I'm on a break at work. It's another fantastic day. The sun is shining, it's warm, my students are relaxed and rested after a three-day weekend, and I'm full of pep.

Got my pumpkin souffle, my steamed broccoli, devilled eggs and other things to munch on throughout the day. Already took a walk during recess.

Terry - you can do this. It's only a few days of Induction, and then you get into the groove and it becomes automatic - remember? Love you, hon!

                        Checkin in

I made it thru the day. White knuckled it thru some and sailed thru the rest. Feeling like searching the cupboards right now so figured this was the place to be.

Tomorrow is bread baking day and pumpkin cake for Wednesdays Thanksgiving meal at school. (As well as the usual meals for the day) I expect to be afloat in water most of the day to keep munchies at bay.

                        Off to surf.................

Water and fat, Terry, water and fat. Eat a lot of fat tomorrow. It will keep the cravings at bay.

                          Hang in there!

Now that you mention it I really didnt concentrate on the fat today. Breakfast was a johnsonvillbe bratwurst, lunch was a cup of salad (very little dressing) and meatballs, dinner was ham and spaghetti squash. There was a certain amount of fat but room for more I suspect. Threw some lemon in my water to get it down and that also acts as a diuretic so when it kicks in Ill be trotting to the powder room quite a bit.
