Hello, again!!!
I tried to re-start here but just when I got my pantry stocke up, I had a flood in my kitchen!!
What with my new boss being a butt-head and not allowing time off to dry it out and get the repairs done, and my DH going to New Orleans for a couple weeks, I am still struggling with all my pantry stuff (literally) in storage bins in my living room. So is my bookshelf, china closet, table and chairs, rolltop desk, stuff from the cabinets (which were damaged or moved into the garage)....You get the picture. We're doing a lot of the restoration ourselves to save the $500 deductible, so it's a lot of long hours, mess, and frustration when it comes to eating.
Long story short, I went from 152 to 162 since then and felt really crummy.
The vinyl guys messed up and have to redo it this Tuesday. Last week I decided I could not wait any longer to feel better, so I started up again Friday, and this morning checked the Ketostix and they were PINK!
Yes, I do feel better, still 162.5 though. And Saturday I got a huge migraine, got rid of it, got another, and generally felt like the worst case of carb withdrawal EVER. I knew not to start Induction knowing my tendency to migraine, so I'm really thrilled I'm into ketosis already.
I also have been on doxycyclene for a sinus infection, probably brought on by the tearing up of the floors and all the yukky dust. So I've been eating Carb Monitor yogurt to re-florate my guts.
Wish me luck, y'all. This will be the first holiday in my 2.5 yrs of low-carbing that I have "had to" stick to this WOE. and I'm whining about it already. But the last few months of no money for food and now THIS have forced the issue!! I'll be checking recipes etc. and hopefully quitting my bad habit of using various life situations as a reason to eat badly. I now have enough rescources to buy meat, since I'm working again. I also am getting physical therapy as of last week, so I can KEEP working! And that's another reason to start an excercise program again. They have me doing PT in the water, so when I find the time in the evenings I'll have to start doing some REAL excersise.
Sorry to be so wordy... shutting up now....
