I decided that, hmm...I bet I'm in OWL instead of extended induction since I eat a buttload of veggies on most days, and I eat nuts sometimes, so I decided to go check out the OWL forum. Well I visited the OWL forum and read the rules, and yep. I screwed it all up. I read the book before restarting this woe, but that was a couple months ago, and I think I may not have paid much attention to the OWL section because I thought it would be soooo long before I'd actually be there. I don't know my CCL. I ate nuts before I ate fresh cheeses. I don't even see cashews on the acceptable nuts list and I've eaten them. I SUCK! So...help everyone. What do I do now? I'm still losing weight (I lost 4 pounds this week for a total of 20...but shhhhh...my weigh-in day isn't supposed to be until tomorrow). I just don't want to do this WOE wrong and then suffer for it later. HELP!

you clean up your act and go from here.
you are handleing the nuts so keep them count the carbs and now add the fresh dairy if you want it.
if not move to berries or try other nuts. cashews are higher in carbs then many nuts but all nuts are acceptable if you can handle them. since a 5 net carb serving of cashews is very small you might enjoy chasnging tio another nut.by the book atkinseer

Thanks, 2Big! I was in fear that you'd say those dreaded words...."START ALL OVER AGAIN!" But I WAS prepared to do so if it was necessary. So let me get this straight....do I continue to eat lots of veggies, and some nuts everyday, and THEN add the dairy...and eat that everyday and THEN add berries and eat those everyday...or when I am on the (for example) berry rung, I take out the nuts and dairy, etc. and just focus on berries? This owl stuff is tricky business! But I know it is an important stage to do correctly!

first lets clarify that eat lots of veggies statment.
eat lots of low carb induction acceptable vegies and you would like to keep the total carb amount of this vegie chowing down stable while you are adding new rung foods so you will know if it was the new rung food, the ttoal carbs eatten or that food that just sent you off on a binge try or stalled out your weight loss.
Now keeping the foods you have already conquered in your WOE you will add new foods from the new rung and repeat a new to you food no more then 3 times the first week you have it so if youare doing beeries have cranberries say 3 times and blue berries 3 times and strawberries 1 time the first week or have a different berry every day what ever you want as long as yuoiu stay in the 5 net carbs and the not same new to you food more then 3 times a week the first week.
bnow be sure you have a fat with your foods to so you minimize the blood sugar impact.
You never on Atkins have to start over unless you are out of ketosis and then it is only for a few days to get back into ketosis that is why those folk in induction forms telling folk they have to do another 14 days cause they messed up are not following the advice Dr Atkins gives in DANDR.

Thanks again! I already bought my groceries for the upcoming week, and they obviously didn't include berries, so I will stay on the nuts rung until next Tuesday. Then, I will do the berries rung. This is exciting and kind of scary. I asked about this in the OWL forum, but I'll ask you too, and I'm bound to get an answer from someone: What if I cannot lose weight by eating berries? Do I go back to the nuts rung for a few weeks and then skip the berries rung and do the next rung, or do I just delete berries from my diet and continue on up the ladder? I certainly hope I can still lose weight by eating berries. I love berries!
