  • Do I need to do induction AGAIN!!

I've been on this WOL for one year now. I've had a lot of trouble with OWL because it turns out that Berries and fruit are a huge trigger for me. Trying that rung sent me off the wagon and it took a long time to get back on. I also know that dairy is out of the question. Extended induction is getting to boring.

What I would like to do is occasionally have extra veggies and occasionally have 1 or 2 oz of nuts. Now that I am back on the wagon (day 3 cheat free) do I need to do a full two week induction AGAIN and start over with OWL?

From what I understand (and someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong!!) you only need to stay in induction until you're firmly in ketosis again...then you can resume whatever rung you were on, or whatever lower rung you want to be on...

My question would be is you say "day 3 cheat free". How and with what did you "cheat"? If you have actually cheated, and you mentioned taking a long time to get back on, after going into dairy, or berries..how is your weight loss/inches going? If your weight loss/inches lost slowed, or if you've been "cheating" I think I would recommend restarting with a clean induction.

I don't think you need to do a full week, as long as you are in ketosis and have eliminated the trigger foods. Try it. What's the worst that can happen? You'll get a weird craving and feel badly, and go back for a full week. What's the best that can happen? You'll keep on truckin' and losing!

I've lost what a regained in pounds but not inches. I have a major sweet tooth that caused me to slip back into afternoon cookies and daily slips. Halloween chocolates as week to be honest. Until these last four days I was cheating daily for the last three weeks. Right now I'm focused on kicking sugar and have given up all frankenfoods, all sugar substitutes, and of course all sugar. I'm going to continue my modified induction for the rest of the next two weeks. If I don't keep loosing inches I'll move back to a full induction to get restarted. Right now I need to kick sugar.

          Thanks for the advice.

follow Dr Atkins advice and just do induction long enough to get your ketosis back.

With you posting induction is boring you have answered Dr Atkins chaopter 13 test question in a manner that ssys do OWL Since you know your triggering foods you can avoid them this time around and do your OWL or modified OWL like several of us did keeping the carbs at induction level but reintroducing the OWL foods for thr nutrients and the variety. Once you have better contol of yourself when you reach premaintnenance you can try ading them back and see what happens.

                You can do it Michelle
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
