  • Good Tuesday Morning check in thread!!

    Hi Zara and Desert.... I see you there!

    Im out the door in about 5 minutes heading for work. Lots of preparation baking for tomorrows Thanksgiving meal so Ill be on a dead run all day. Still waking up with an urge to grab a quick bagel for breakfast but will have a brat a bit later after I am at work. Already working on my water and supps.

    Good luck! It must be hard baking all day - you can do it though.
    I am just making some food for freezing for my baby girl, doing some housework and then am off to meet a friend for coffee at 3pm. Will pick up some flax powder afterwards as have run out. My sis is back on Atkins so I am thinking of a delicious menu to cook us on Saturday night (hubby is going away for the weekend).

      Morning everyone!

      I had an omlet this morning with sausage, a little cheese, and a little onion. Working on my 2nd 20oz mug of water. I feel really good. Co-worker got a little miffed at me because she came over and told me that we can have Tic Tacs on atkins that she looked over the nutr facts and the ingredients and nothing we can't have and I told her I would still pass. I don't know why she always "needs" stuff like that. I don't even like Tic Tacs. So does anyone know of something bad about Tic Tacs so I can try to inform her before she eats the whole pack?

          Today is my day off, which is a rough one for me. It's easier to stay on program when I'm busy at work with lots of witnesses. Home alone with the fridge and the tv . . . now THAT'S a challenge.

          I'm going to do lots and lots of cleaning in order to distract myself.

            Hey Lady, when I am home alone, that is when I really thrive on Atkins. I also plan something good. A really yummy steak stir fried with veggies is a very favorite of mine. I always eat every bit, too.

            I am having a great day two of induction again!! I am getting my water in, which is something I always have a problem with for some reason.

            1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
            what the rungs mean to me:
            rung 1 - more veggies
            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
            rung 4 - berries, melon
            rung 5 - wine -
            rung 6 - beans, hummus
            rung 7 - other fruits
            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
            (on to pre-maintenance)

              Good morning!

              It's another beautiful, sunny, hot day here. I'm full of energy and happiness, because life is good.

              I'm about to eat my breakfast - there wasn't a lot of time this morning getting out of the house, and I wasn't hungry anyway. My policy is that if I don't eat breakfast before I leave the house, I have to eat it before 9 a.m. That helps me on those days when food first thing makes me kind of sick.

              I'm thinking of you, Terri and Lauren, you prodigy bakers, you! Keep your hands out of your mouths, and don't forget to eat frequent snacks. FAT, Terri, FAT!

                Menu for Saturday follows:
                Low carb tomato soup with small slice of flax bread (with butter and cheese)
                Beef Bourginion (sp?) with green beans fried in butter with bacon (yummy) and broccoli
                If we still have room - cheese and celery or strawberries and cream

                Sound good?

                  Happy Tuesday everyone! Once again my home computer is down. The landlord fiddled with some switches trying to get her hall lights on and messed me up...that happened Sunday morning and as of today, nothing doing.

                  Other than that...more people looking at the house and trapsing through my apartment..that will go on for a bit.

                  Work is very busy...just got the chance to post now. gym after work which I am looking forward to

                    Zara that Saturday night menu sounds yummy!

                    Missy......... tic tacs............ just keeps that sweet tooth going even if they dont have real sugar. I do my best when staying away from sweets. Even splenda sweetened ones.

                    50 dozen cookies Lauren.... wow!! That a lot of cookies! How'd you do not licking those fingers.............. guzzled water no doubt!

                    Lady, Im like Shannon....... when home alone I do very well. Not that it happens all that often. I am sure to make something legally delicious and enjoy every single bite in peace and quiet.

                    Shannon Steak and veggies are a staple for me too

                    Fin you are just a big ole ray of sunshine today! Hope your day stayed that way. And yes........... FAT............... Tuna with lots of mayo for both break and lunch. Dinner was caesar salad with meatballs on the side...... plenty of caesar dressing and parmesan cheese.

                    Spike................ not fun when our home machines dont work. How did we live without em??!!

                    I made it thru day 2 and feel pretty good about it if I do say so myself! Too busy cooking to think about eating so a scoop of tuna for both breakfast and lunch was all I had while at work........... with 80 oz of water too. I have a few slices of cheddar with my name on it for a snack this evening. (Full fat cheese Fin btw)
