    Good morning!

    I hope you are all OK and that the baking went well yesterday.

    It's pretty cold here - winter is definitely here.

    I am off to the gym this morning for 40 mins cardio. Then will burn some more calories doing housework. I had a real clear up last night - I am trying to start baby proofing our house which means putting certain ornaments and things away.

    Hi Zara!

    Its chilly here as well, but could and soon will be worse Im sure. Been pulling out those sweaters and sweats recently.

    Baby getting into things lately that are easier for her to reach nowadays Zara? I all to well remember those days. My kids loved my plants and many of them left the building with Elvis once they discovered them. But that age was so fun!! I miss my babies sometimes.

    Did I mention that today is Thanksgiving for us at school??? LOL Im sure I did! Many times this week. All the usual fare is on the menu and I am bringing my own spaghetti squash to have with my turkey for lunch and a small side caesar salad. I may just pick up a block of cream cheese on the way in this morning and add a little extra fat to the day to help out. It'll be get-ur-ownie for dinner tonight here at home.

      Morning everyone!I am new to this board. I am starting back today! Went to gym this am at 5. I was only able to get 25 minutes cardio in but better than nothing had to be at work by 6. I am so scared this time around I am going to fall off the boat again! I am rooting for all of you! Wish me luck I am going to have 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast. What's everyone else having?

        Good morning everyone! Crazy enough it is 65 here today when yesterday only reached a high of 33 and it is only 8 am!

          G'morning!

          Leah, welcome to the Board! I admire you for getting even that much exercise in so early in the day -- keep moving, that's the ticket. Zara, you are so faithful to that gym!

          (I have not been to the gym regularly since school started in Sept, and you guys are going to be the ones to get me motivated to start next week, when I have Thanksgiving WEEK off.....)

          Terri - how are you feeling? I'm thinking about you all the time, my good buddy.

          Today is a half day at school, 'cause we've got parent-teacher conferences. I'll have time to run out and pick up a salad to add to my lunch before the conferences start. There's a great greek place near my work and I LOVE their food.

            Good morning everyone. I am off on a great start today. I have all my foods planned. That really does seem to be a key to all this. Prepare, prepare. I can't seem to get back into the exercising, though. I am not sure what the problem is. I just can't get back there in my mindset. Hmm...

            what the rungs mean to me:
            rung 1 - more veggies
            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
            rung 4 - berries, melon
            rung 5 - wine -
            rung 6 - beans, hummus
            rung 7 - other fruits
            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range

              Good morning!

              Anyone have any tips for keeping away from the peanut butter and cheese (not together)? LOL If I don't attack the peanut butter at night, I end up attacking the cheese or pepperoni or pork rinds...ugh! I guess I need to set a time at night and not eat after that time...Like 8 pm or something.

              So far today is off to a pretty good start...Already exerciesed for 30 minutes...Working on my water. Looking forward to a good day.

                Hi Everyone

                Spot on Terry - she is grabbing EVERYTHING in sight! Today she went full speed in her walker over to the log basket to check out the wood. She was also eyeing the vase of roses on the coffee table AGHHH! It's great fun watching her grow though. She sits unsupported now and can shuffle along (not quite crawl). I love it.

                Anyway, she has just gone for an afternoon nap so I am off for a bath!

                PS Fin - I must admit I enjoy the gym now and Georgia enjoys it in the creche so we're all happy! Once you go back a few times, you'll love it!

                  Doing okay for now. The vinyl is down in my kitchen again -- now I have to move everything back.

                  Got a big hunk of pork to roast but no time to do it. Anybody know if I can make it in a crock pot?

                  Got more good news but I'm at work and have to share later.

                    I'm back and I'm doing ok on day #2. I'm down from the weekend's weight of 241.5 lbs to 237.5. Clothes were starting to get tight again and that just sux. I think i've finally gotten my steely resolve back to get to my goal this time.
                    I've got a wedding to goto in early april, and by god i want to blow them all away! People in my old home haven't seen me since August this summer (a handful saw me then), and most of them not for over a year now. I want that whole doubletake thing to hapen with people having to look 2 and 3 times to figure out who i am before they realise I also want to set a spectacular example of what determination and willpower combined with smart action will do for a person's weight. Many of my old girlfriends from then have gained -so- much weight that the ones I did see i was quite shocked at the fast, drastic gains they did.

                    So today I've drunk almost all my water, 32 more ounces to go while i'm at the gym, and i've watched my food quite carefully. Today is a good day so far!

                      I'm doing ok. Still antsy with sugar cravings but I haven't given in. No sugar or sugar substitutes since Saturday Morning. Thats when I have my last decaf with sweetner.

                      Measuring tape shows 6 inches gone in the last two weeks, so last round of cheating did very little damage but I still have 16 inches to loose before I get back to where I was last spring.

                      Food is on plan and I will walk the dogs tonight.

                        What I do is figure out when I am having the cravings. Then, about 1/2 hour before, I eat something high in fat, like zuchini dipped in egg and parmesan and fried until crispy, or a flax seed cracker with cream cheese. When the 'craving hour' hits, there's no desire.....
