Lets talk rewards! I know this has been talked about before but we have lots of newbies to our lovely little family and I think they could benefit from some reward talk.

I am still 9 pounds away from Onederland and its a wee bit frustrating cause I'm doing everything right, but my body likes it where it is for a few days it seems so...I will be patient!

I SO used to reward myself with bad food, and those days are gone. I still do it in a smaller scale way, but now my rewards are steak, lobster, crab...that kind of food reward! I want to do something really nice for myself for sticking to plan and doing so well lately. (cause there have been bad months) and no weight came off. But I only had myself to blame for that.

I have never had a spa day, and I know its darn expensive but I was thinking that it would be a perfect reward for me once I cross the Onederland doors. What reward will you give yourself when you meet your short term goals?

I'd like to hear how others treat themselves.

I have a new purse that has been in my closet for two years. It is a brand new, absolutely gorgeous bag from Coach. It is for when I reach 117 lbs, within three pounds of my goal weight. In other words, 15.5 pounds to go. Is that right? Ha! It is too late in the day for higher math. I have been looking forward to my fancy bag for a loooong time!
    149.8/no weigh/ 119

    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
    rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

2big I LOVE that idea! Clothing money!!!! I am kind of excited (yet scared) to go clothing shopping. The other day I tried on a few things and even bought a couple things, but I still feel like most things don't fit as good as I want them to. I know that 180 will be a great day for me, most great clothes looked good on me at 180. Someday......(in 28 more pounds) My frame is kind of odd, I look smaller at 180 and 200 than most of my friends do, it might be all the walking/running I'm doing, and my butt is getting pretty firm these days..wahoo! THAT in itself is a reward I tell ya!

I was thinking that every time I get to a point where my current clothes are about to fall off, I'll go shopping and buy some things that fit (not too crazy though because I'll still be losing) then celebrate that evening with an awesome dinner out and a LC friendly treat that I rarely have - like LC beer!
