  • Back in Action with a vengeance!

I'm finally back into the swing of things. Got all the food planned and times at the gym booked. Our new puppy is keeping me well walked, and life has generally stabilised from the bad 2 months i had in august and september that were all stressed out with life. i gained from 223 back up to 241.5 and that's where i managed to get my head screwed on straight and say 'Self! Stop that right now, else i'll lose all the hard work i did early in the year.' so i think/hope i've learned something from these months of falling off. Namely that i need to be ever vigilant, every minute of the day as for me, falling off happens ever so silently and unnoticably, and then it gets a little worse bit by small bit until it's a torrent of badness.

This time i've armed myself with a scale and am trying to be much more exact with my portion control and composition of foods in the comparison of protein/fat/carb level ratios.

anyway, now that i've drunk all my water for the day, i can sleep....never made it to the gym tonight as the puppy pretty much took me for a half hour drag, with me being the dragged one!

Re: Back in Action with a vengeance!

I absolutely agree that planning is the key. Lack of planning is exactly what gets me everytime!
                149.8/no weigh/ 119

                1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
                rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                rung 4 - berries, melon
                rung 5 - wine -
                rung 6 - beans, hummus
                rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                (on to pre-maintenance)

Planning is the key. It's where I failed in the past. You can do it!
