  • Third time around for me, but I'll join in here anyway!

Since I can't see a Third Time Around forum lol

I've tried and failed at atkins more than three times, but only three proper attempts I've had at it. Both times, I found it extremely difficult, and that was mainly the reason I gave up. The second time, back in June, I was doing so well and was a month into it, having lost 15lbs, when my bf got taken into hospital, and I had to fly to be with him, so I had no choice over food, it was literally what I could get my hands on. So Atkins went out the window.

But I'm not sure why, maybe it's sheer determination, but this third time around has almost been a breeze, and I've last much longer than I have ever before! I came to realization that I couldnt let myself get any bigger, and I had to do it.

But it's great to see that I'm not the only one who has had to try time and time again to succeed!

For me, it's been the 100th time around but I figured that if I wanted to get any smaller, I ought to stick with it to the best of my ability and circumstances. You have done so well this time around, keep up the good work and you'll be where you want to be in no time!

      Good for you, Steph!!

I have been one of the lucky ones who hasn't needed to start over (yet) and I so admire those of you who have fought the battle several (or many) times and still succeed.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I think that if we took a poll of the STAC membership we would find lots of third, fouth and fifth timers.

It is truly only my second time on Atkins, but throughout my adult life I've gained and lost hundreds of pounds. Now that I've found the reason for the yo-yoing, and why I seemed to eat constantly in my past life, this time I plan to get to goal and stay there!

Welcome to STAC, Steph. It's the friendliest, most comfortable forum on the board, IMHO!

Speaking of gaining and losing... I need advice for strech marks.... I have huge nasty ones on my sides that actually look like sonmeone was clawing at my skin and left purple gashes....

Anyone have any remedies of how to lightenup these bad boys???
