  • Easy snack suggestions?

    Now that I'm trying to get away from the mindless handful of pepperoni when I want a snack, I need help coming up with lower salt, lower calorie munchies -- I really struggle with the pepperoni and...............cheese (I'm Swiss, it's in my blood.....that and chocolate unfortunately ). Suggestions?

    use your veggies as crunchie celery or jicama stix and a dip
    radish raw chips

    make oven baked turnip chips recipe is on the board

    how about deviled eggs>

      Here's what I keep in tiny tupperware containers or little zip-lock baggies at all times:

      - 10 black olives
      - string cheese
      - devilled eggs
      - chopped cucumber with blue cheese dressing
      - broccoli heads with ranch dressing
      - flax crackers to top with cream cheese
      - pickled artichoke hearts
      - pickles
      - roasted chicken wings, heavily seasoned
      - nuts (I'm in OWL)
      - salami
      - smoked turkey
      - cherry tomatos
      - mashed turnips with parmesan cheese (to heat up quickly in microwave)
      - sliced jicama fried in butter until golden brown and topped with cinamon and splenda (best heated)

      I don't eat them all every day, not by a long shot, but they're there for the taking.
