        Thanks so much! I knew I could count on you all to help out. I cannot tell you how good it feels now to mess everything up! I ate my salad and my steak, absolutely yummy! I walked around my building, it is pretty big. I had a very nice lunch and I feel no guilt about it at all. Yay! I am pretty psyched about the WOE. I am almost starting to feel like I could really make this work for me for an extended period of time, hmm, maybe a new WOL?

        1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
        what the rungs mean to me:
        rung 1 - more veggies
        rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
        rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
        rung 4 - berries, melon
        rung 5 - wine -
        rung 6 - beans, hummus
        rung 7 - other fruits
        rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
        rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
        Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
        (on to pre-maintenance)

            Wow, I'm having flashbacks to the time my mom came for a visit. Remember that? I only made it through because of my ex, my dh, and you guys. It was really, really rough in terms of stress and anxiety.

            Shannon, can you plan a short outing on Thursday just by yourself or with a friend? Maybe a long walk, or a movie, or anything? (Starbucks is open here from 8 a.m. to noon, I think!).

            And Friday, can you get away from her? Get a pedicure, or hair done, or something just for you? You need to have one thing each day where she is not present around you. It's really important.

            The other thing to do is plan a lot of activities for her that either don't involve you (hey, get HER a pedicure! You can drop her off, pick her up) or involve you plus a ton of other people, like a movie or lunch out.

            Hang in there! One hour at a time.......and come and post every time you feel like you're gonna lose it. We're here.

                  Thank you Sirine! I feel a lot better about the new picture. Hey, six pounds gone, right? Hey, Finelly, I took your advice. My MIL is at this very moment taking my kids to karate. Hey, a free evening, well, a free hour. I better run and take advantage of it. I just wanted to touch base with you all.

                    Well I am glad you made it though it. Girl I feel for ya, I understand the comfort food attacks. But you made it through beautifully!!! I was sitting here just now reading first post and thinking how can I help??? What would I do??? Well me being new to handleing my stress properly, I didn't know what I would do?? Then it hit me I would post here just like you did for support to make it through the crisis.

                    I am sooo proud of you!!! And you look amazing!!

                      Thank you Crystal. I have read through the posts on this board for several months before I started posting. I kept reading "Thanks to you guys", "The support here is incredible", etc.. I am only just starting to personally see that it is support like this that can get us through the day with the correct food choices and the MIL aggravation, etc... What an incredible group of people here!

                      SO, two pieces of news! My MIL and FIL got started on the religious discussion last night. This is an ongoing thing for us. Nothing against any particular religion, but we don't see eye to eye exactly. My thought on this situation is that once you are barely able to tolerate each other, then the last thing you want to discuss is religion or politics, but hey, that is just me. I removed myself from the conversation gracefully and my dh eventually changed the subject. Soooo, to make a long story longer, they are still aggravating as h**l, but I am tough cookie. She is not controlling me!

                      The second piece of news I have to report this morning is that I am totally in KETOSIS! It has been a couple of weeks since I have been and I am completely motivated. There will be no cheating this week for me! Whooo Hooo. And I came so close yesterday...

                          I know exactly where your coming from Shannon. I am going to visit My Inlaws in Toronto for 1 MONTH!!! We leave next week. My mil doesn't stop. She has an opinion for EVERYTHING even when no one asks..lol. ahhh...I can't wait
