  • First Goal Reached - Yay!

    Hi everyone! I know I don't post much, but I do have quite the reason to post today.... I reached my first goal of 20lbs lost! It said the reward for the goal was Sex & the City Season 1....but I went out and bought the whole darn series, lol. I did it in part because I have been feeling down lately and needed a (non-food) pick-me-up, I reached my first goal, I'm going to be student teaching soon and won't be able to spend money like that for awhile, and because the gift collection was on sale, lol. Now I just have to figure out what my next goal and reward should be...any ideas??

    How wonderful Steanie!!! And a great reward too. There is plenty of television there to keep you on track and remind you of your accomplishment every time you watch.

      Good for you Stefanie! I love, love, love Sex & The City. Love it! Good for you, what an awesome reward. I know, how about a pair of Manolo Blaniks? Jimmy Choo? If they are out of your league, (they are out of mine) then how about a Jimmy Choo key chain?

      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
      what the rungs mean to me:
      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)

          Great ideas for rewards. lol Shannon, the Jimmy Choos are out of my league as well. Probably for the best since I think I'd break my A$$ walking around on high heels! My feet are really pudgy, too, but I think I'm actually losing weight in them, so maybe later I'll buy a pair of SATC inspired strappy high heels and learn to walk in them I'm going to think about my reward while I'm at the salon today (not a reward, my hair just desperately needs trimming and dying, my eyebrows desperately need waxing). HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!!!
          I'm on my way to the store to pick up ingredients for the peanut butter pie on Sugarfreesheila's website. I hope my family and I like it (but I hope I don't like it too much!)

            I'm alllllll about the cute shoes. Ask moochie. She and I are shoe addicts. No heels, though. I'm all about the cute flat shoes and the knee-high boots.

            Way to go on your first goal, Stefanie! If you watch your vids while walking on the treadmill, it's even a double-treat! I'm really really reallllllllly proud of you!!!

                Ooh, a spa day, I'm liking the sound of that. I may save that for when I reach my final goal Cleo, I don't have a treadmill. I'd like to get an elliptical but can't afford anything right now. I can watch my DVDs on the Gazelle, but my roomate will be taking that when she moves out so I better do all the gazelling I can right now!!!!

                  Oh I totally agree that it was a great idea to pick a nonfood reward. In the past, I have always made my rewards off-limits foods. How dumb was that? I LOVE Sex and the City and I've seen ads for the entire series on DVD that was just released. Enjoy! You've earned it! Maybe some CD's or books as future rewards.

                    Great idea! I was thinking books for a possible reward, too, because I LOVE to read! I'm still thinking... but I will have my next reward and goal posted in my signature by Friday!
