  • Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, today of all days, I am still in ketosis and I am wearing a pair of jeans this morning that I haven't worn in a few months. There is no way I am cheating today. I won't be tempted by anything! SO, for those of you out there who are in ketosis (or not), who have lost weight, who are looking good, go look in the mirror. Dress up a little, check yourself out, look at your results and keep right on keeping on... Eat right, make your great choices today, you know this way of eating is scrumptous! Then, pat yourself on the back and take a walk outside. It is a beautiful day here anyway!!

We can do this. We are a bunch of losers here at STAC!!

    149.8/no weigh/ 119

    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:

rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

    Re: Happy Thanksgiving!

Skinny jeans Shannon!! Woo Hoo!! (Got the tight sweater on for dmil too??!!)

She is right................ Feel what you are wearing today and use that feeling to get you thru. Between that and having Cleo lookin over your shoulder all day long you cant lose!

I find Thanksgiving one of the easier holidays because I love turkey and am satisfied with a few small tweaks to make it a low carb meal. Toss in a legal cheesecake as a treat and there you have it.

Good for you, Terry. Legal Cheesecake sounds yummy! I should have thought of that. You know, I will wear the tight sweater in a little while, as well as some spiky heels that are very impractical for around the house, well impractical for wearing anytime!

She may be slim, but I am sexy, right Cleo?

I agree with Terry, folks, be very careful of Cleo today. She is lurking over your shoulder!

      Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all Congrats Shannon on the jeans...and Terry..I agree with you about Thanksgiving being easy...I also love Turkey and the veggies...your idea of a cheesecake is a good one...I'm actually thinking of making something legal with pumpkin...I'll be looking over the recipes to see what the best one will be.

Slept in this morning for much needed rest...will start preparing stuff to cook shortly.

It's cold here and raining and we actually have a dusting of snow on the ground..yuk..not ready for the white stuff yet.

Hope everyone has a great day

Happy Thanksgiving my dear Americano friends!! I know you'll all do great today. And remember all the things you should be thankful for: a healthier way of eating, a sexy bod, legal cheesecake...lol. Seriously, though, I am thankful for all of you. Have a great day!

              Re: Happy Thanksgiving!

I just woke up and came right to the computer hoping to find a post like this.

I refust to let one day that people allow themselves to stuff everything in, overeate wayyy too much of everything.....and join in getting myself off track.

We have worked too hard to get where we are! Make yourself proud of you at the end of the day.

              Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I think there is a pumpkin souffle recipe in the recipe section.

I couldnt sleep last night and was still up at 3 so put the turkey on. Its all donen now and ready to carve. Now I could go back to bed!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here this morning though. Would be cozy and kind of pretty if I didnt have to drive in it.

                Happy Thanksgiving!
