  • Starting Again....

    Hello everyone,

Well I have been gone for a while but I am back. I know that it is mid-week but I don't care. I am re-starting tomorrow. I figure half a week is better than not doing anything.

Long story short - my life has been a mess lately. Everything has just been getting me down in all directions. But I decided that enough is enough and well life is not always what we want it to be.

I am getting back on track and I am starting tomorrow.

Did you guys see the "Biggest Loser"? They are such an inspiration and I know they worked hard but hey they got where they wanted to be.

So here I go again...and this time I will succeed. I am making that commitment to myself.

    Thanks for hearing me out.

THINderella ('cause that's who you'll soon be!) we're glad you decided to return. I, too, left ADBB because of some personal problems. Well, I finally did figure out that life is never perfect -- but I was getting fatter and fatter while I was waiting for it to get that way!

You've made a great decision, and all of us in STAC are glad you did and welcome you with open arms. Just remember, that no matter how tough things are, YOU are worth the effort.

      Wishing you wonderful success!
      -Chris

Hi, thinderella! I agree that TBL is an amazing show. And the hard work those people did is truly inspiring! Knowing they've had to deal with the same demons so many of us do makes it seem so much more like a goal we can accomplish. And with Atkins along for the ride, and your friends at ADBB, you're never alone, like Suzy felt.

I agree TBL was amazing. The only difference between the people at goal and the few who didn't make it to goal yet is perserverence. Just stick with the diet as prescribed and do the exercise, you'll be at goal too. Keep an idea on what goal looks like to you or for you, and weight any negative path with that goal image. If I can make it with my past diet failures, you can certainly do it.

My weight loss and improving health was the only thing that kept me positive during some really down times. Unfortunately I thought I was strong enough to "take a break" here and there, with a 30-plus weight gain.

Remember that when stuff is happening beyond your control, YOUR real power is to control what goes into your mouth! And the benefits carry over into your whole outlook on life, etc. so it can be a healing circle.

              Good luck!

Small said just what I was going to say. You can control what you eat and have power over your body. You have done the right thing by making the choice to come back to this WOE.

                  Welcome Back!!!
When things start spinning for me I tend to lose control of everything....feeling soo overwhelmed, which just makes everything worse.....and I get bigger...which keeps that spinning cycle going. sigh
Whatever happens day to day.....keep yourself honest. Do it for you. YOU DESERVE IT!
