I've been having a bit of a health problem for several weeks now -- details of which I'd prefer to go into only on the men's forum. I went to my friendly urologist Tuesday (considering what he did to me, I think we'd now be officially engaged in the state of Massachusetts. I hope it was good for him, 'cause it surely wasn't for me!
.) Anyway, he prescribed just the correct medication, and already, this morning, the unpleasant symptoms have almost totally disappeared.
The point of all this is that now that I'm past that, I can know how I'm really feeling these days -- and it's wonderful! Getting back on Atkins again has now fully taken hold, and it makes me want to kick myself for having fallen off the wagon in the first place. I've never been much of a morning person, but I practically popped out of bed this morning, ready to start my day. I've been smiling at everyone I pass, and even realized, when I went for my first walk this morning, that I was singing! Although I'm also a member of the 50+ forum, let me tell you, today I feel young!
Cleo's NYE challenge is making a difference, as well. Before it, I did give in to the occasional "legal" snack, and wasn't really making enough of an effort with my exercise. I'm now allowing myself one, small, legal snack before bed (IF I'm hungry), and doing very well (for me, anyway) on the exercise. Tuesday is my weigh day, and as I said in my post that day, I was down two pounds, and that was the most I'd lost in one week since the first one of re-induction. I "sneaked" on the scale this morning, and was down another 1/2 pound -- in just two days! I'm not changing my siggy, of course, until the official weigh day, but that 1/2 pound really added to my fantastic day.
Bless Dr. A (wherever he may be) and Bless Cleo!!
