  • it's been too long

phew. i've been away from adbb for quite some time now. let's catch up...

i moved to chicago about a month ago and i am settling into the city and my new job. i am crazy busy, but definitely enjoying life right now!

i fell off the wagon at thanksgiving...but i am back on track and only 2 lbs away from my original goal. i'm down to a size 8 pant..and i even bought a 6 skirt a few weeks ago! i am going to make a new goal..probably for 140 after i reach 150.

i missed everyone and i am really going to try and come around more often!! i have been lurking for awhile but just haven't posted...the longer i stayed away the harder it seemed to come back!! buuut here i am! hope everyone is doing good!

haha yes...the user name doesn't really fit anymore. i'm a chicago girl now i suppose! oh well!

anyways...today was a good day. my biggest problem lately is getting all my water in. it never seems to happen during the day, so when i get home in the evening i'm downing it like crazy...then i'm up peeing half the night! i need to work on spacing it out.

in other news...i hope this week goes by faaasst! my boyfriend is coming to visit me on friday woohoo!

                how is everyone else doing?

                  Hi Michigangirly!

Greetings from a fellow Michigander (I hate that word, lol), even though you're in Chicago now. Your goal is 150, and that's what mine is. I was wondering to tall you were, so I can get an idea of what size I'll be in when I reach my goal (even though I know exercise can play a big part in that, also). What types of exercise do you?

stefanie-i'm just under 5 4'. i'm wearing size 8 pants right now, and i have purchased one size 6 skirt wohoo! but like i mentioned...i think i will be changing my goal to 140 very shortly. i would like to be a comfortable size 6 pant. it's hard to compare yourself to others though-i know people in my weight range who are wearing a size or two bigger than me, and i have a friend who is under 150 but still wears a size above me. weird! good luck with your journey-keep me posted!

                          Re: it's been too long

Iam 5'7 and when i got out of basic training I weighed 156... I wore a size 10 or 12....I guess it's just based on the way our body is built, because there was another girl who is the same height as me and weighed the exact same amount and wore a 6 or 8... she had REALLY small bones I think!!! LOL

Good luck on your Goal change...you can do it!

                            Re: it's been too long

Everyone loses at a different rate. I've had a similar loss to Stacilynn but was biger to start, although I'm 5'7" so maybe that makes a difference. I lost 44 lbs in 10 weeks and have now lost 47lbs in 14 weeks (I had a few days away with little exercise and it slowed me up - it was very hard to get back into gym routine!)

I eat all fresh food, nothing prepared at all and no snack bars or stuff like that at all. It's basically all veges and protein. My only treat (about once a week) is a little 'cook at home' wholemeal roll I get at the supermarket here, it is 13 carbs - about 4 bites!

I'm sure you can do it too! If loss slows, up the exercise quotient. It doesn't necessarily mean more time, I am trying to increase my speed/resistance levels all the time.

                            Good luck!
