  • I met the first goal!!!!!

    Got my wedding band and engagement ring off -- cleaned the diamond and hoping I don't fall off the wagon and have it stuck on for another four months!!!

    I'm making Christmas cookies today, traditional Czech cookies and a low-carb version I'm going to try. If I hadn't just lost a few pounds, I'd fall off the wagon for sure!!! I hope I can keep in mind that I really want the weight loss and improved health more than the fleeting taste of sweets.

    But between you and me it really IS a toss-up! The carb cravings are back BIG time and I almost fell a few times for some chocolatey holiday parties, etc. It's getting really difficult, even though I've been there and keep getting the larger T-shirts. I don't want my nine pound loss to disappear over the holidays.

    I did print off some of the recipes in that new thread, and I'll be making pumpkin cheesecake. Thanks, all.

    This is a difficult time of year. Plan for those times when you need extra support. Have stuff around thats legal and delicious at the same time. We can do this my friend.

      I agree, the holidays are a time when there are more temptations than usual. What helps is to keep your accomplishments in mind and picture the new you in the upcoming year! You're already off to a good start, don't let anything get in your way.You are worth it!!

        we have a choclate topic and did you know chocolate stimulates the same brain area as pot? Scarey isn't it?

          Keep your belly full of good food and plenty of water until those cravings pass.

          You dont want those rings to cling to your fingers again!

          Im cooking today as well and making cinnamon ornaments so the aromas here are absolutely wonderful but Ive got a huge bottle of lemon water by my side and making sure I eat snacks that are good for me when I feel the need to eat.

          You CAN do this!!
