  • What a discouraging eye opener

    Trying to be funny, Michael used the new digital camera that I gave him for Christmas to record a video clip of me coming out of the shower. I don't know whether to kill him, for making me feel so bad, or kiss him for letting me know where I stand.

    I set my goal at 135, based on the last time I reached goal at WW, which means I now have roughly 25 pounds to goal. Looking at that image of myself, with the still big belly, I'd guess the person in that clip needed to lose 35 to 40 pounds! Not only that, but the man is in some very serious need of toning exercise.

    So, here's my goal for the year: lose at least to the current goal -- and reevaluate at that time -- and either join the gym near my office, or invest in some good effective home exercise program.

    I dont know what a health weight for you is Chris but 135 sounds a little low. I am aiming for what is my highest "healthy" weight..as I figure I get that extra 10 pounds just because I'm old. LOL
    If you put you highest healthy weight as goal, you can always reajust when you get there.

      So clarify this for me why are you waiting till you get to goal weight to start that working out and toning up? You are supposed to be doing that all along as part of your Atkins per Dr Atkins chapter 15 no exercise no Atkins.

      I will cut you some slack right now cause of your back but hey what has been going on all these weeks you were supposed to be working out.

      Hey Michael give him more shots like that more often to get ChunkyChris away form Chris!

        I didn't say I wasn't exercising, I said that I wasn't doing any kind of toning exercise, 2Big. I do up to an hour of walking per day, was swimming when the weather was warm, and have started doing just a bit of jogging recently. None of that's going to firm up that tummy and saggy abs, though. And, reread my post, I didn't say I was waiting to get to goal before starting toning exercise, I said that getting to goal and doing the exercises was my resolution.

        Lynne, I have tiny bones -- I wear a 6.5 ring, and size 7 shoe. When I graduated from high school, I was at my top weight of 118, and no one would have considered me skinny. The first time I hit 135 I thought I was fat (never dreaming that one day I'd be near 220!)

          Wow you have smaller fingers then I do.
          Chris Dr Atkins says we have to do resistance work too along with all that aerobic you are doing when we do his plan. Is SO going to workout with you?

          So CHris I guess you are not going to give that pic to DIVA for the HUNKS of ADBB calander.

            If that would have been me, that camera would have been smacked out of darlings hands and probably broken into a million pieces.

            Now that's just me, naked and camera doesn't mix, no!
